Cleanliness when I had to pull the bed and bed side cabinet out, after dropping my ring. Very dusty and rubbish on the floor.
Plastic plates and dishes.
Towels & bath mats grubby looking.

A very large, classy first floor flat, bang in the middle of the village. So light and airy in the lovely big sitting room, huge windows, nice period shutters, great sofas too. Large main bedroom, comfy bed, & very nice to have a bath as well as shower option. Excellent place to stay.
The kitchen was large and nice, with a super round table and 4 comfortable chairs by the window. A tiny thing is that surprisingly lacked a few basics for cooking that in my experience rental kitchens always have. Not one medium/large frying pan, so I had to use a small saucepan on the oven-top to make a pasta ragu. And no wooden spoons for stirring! (Bonus would have been a garlic press is always nice, rather than chopping yourself).
