Situated in Yosemite Forks, this lovely house for $399 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Casa Rio Yosemite is a private home on Highway 41 conveniently located just five minutes north of central Oakhurst, California. It is a beautiful private estate property – one of the premier High Sierra locations outside of the National Park – with the property stretching across the river to own a part of the infamous Lewis Fork. Casa Rio Yosemite sits on approximately 9 acres by the river with views and access to Lewis Creek, a view of Deadwood Mountain, and a rare view of central Oakhurst.

This house is beautiful and has amazing views, plus it’s close to Yosemite. With that said, the house was freezing the entire time we stayed there; Despite the heater being set at 74 degrees the temperature never got above 60. The manager said the central heating wouldn’t heat up the house, and provided space heaters, but the vents constantly blew cold air so the space heaters were ineffective at warming up the place. The cold house made family time difficult as it was too cold to do much besides huddle under blankets and watch tv. I think this house is better suited for a summertime stay.

It was an experience that if we would like to repeat it, we had a great time the children had a lot of fun and the park is just a few minutes from the house
