We enjoyed our stay on the lake and at this rental. It is as described in terms of size, and it had almost everything we needed for our long weekend. This location was great: we could take quick walks to the local store, a couple evenings at the restaurant across the street, and ~30 minute drives to hiking or kayaking. This is not the rental for anyone who is seeking a quiet, secluded rental. There are neighbors, some with dogs and children, including neighbors from other rental units on the same property. This did not bother us at all, but I'm mentioning it for anyone who wants seclusion. Communication with owners for check in was a breeze. We didn't get to really chat with them but they were nice and available if needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the lake and were glad to have this rental to help with that!

We chose this place because it was brand new and because the ad said "romantic". The small loft was nicely done, but it's over the property owner's garage, right next to his house. No privacy. It wasn't a good fit for us, (maybe for a young couple) it was too small and not the best for cooking all the time. The grill and outdoor seating were at the bottom of the steps on the side of the house next to the garbage cans, so it was definitely not inviting to go out and grill with especially with no lake view. It's hard to feel romantic when there are a lot of people on and off the property, seeing and watching everything you do. There were other families renting the two other cottages on the property, so parking was challenging. There was no Guest Binder to provide guidance (the Do's and Don'ts) of the area and options that were available to us on the property. The loft doesn't have a closet, not optimal for a long 7-Day stay, it was very uncomfortable. We bought our own cleaning supplies and a mop. The other letdown was all the political banners everywhere. When you go on vacation, you are trying to get away from all that and enjoy nature, the last thing you want to see are political banners interrupting the beautiful views. Mike, the owner, was very nice and he did a great job with the loft but I would not advertise it as romantic. The property is great to rent if it's a big family gathering or a group of friends, that way it's not so weird and you don't feel like you are intruding on private property.

We really enjoyed our stay there on our honeymoon. It is perfect for 2 people and it is private inside. One thing we didn’t know was that the house in front of us was also rented out to guests and the house behind us is the same thing so the beach was shared with the owners (who live there as well) and two other families. So it didn’t feel like there was any privacy outside. The owner’s were very nice and we did get along with the others who were on vacation.
