This charming ex tailor shop has been converted into budget guest accommodation. Francis, the owner, is a delightful man who clearly takes pride in his establishment which has been in the family for years. He enjoys getting to know his guests and is only too happy to offer advice about his hometown. The place is centrally located which is ideal and the place is kept spotless. Although our tiny room had no windows to the outside world this in fact meant it was cooler than anywhere else we’ve stayed - put the air-con on and the temperature adjusts perfectly in no time. Would recommend to anyone spending one or two days exploring Malacca.

The location is amazing- a few minutes walk to the old town and Red Square. The owner, Francis, is super friendly. He took us to a local place for a proper local breakfast on last day. The rooms are very basic but great value for the price and very very clean. The shared bathrooms are also kept extremely clean. Some people might like to take a sleeping bag liner with them for the beds.

- nice hostel with a really kind and helpful owner
- rooms where ok (we had an four bed room for us alone. This was nice. But with four people would be not that much space in there)
- beds were comfy and AC worked well
- near everything and also good food around the corner
- bathrooms super super clean
- not really a common area for relaxing

Perfect stay.
Very close to the main area in Melacca in China town. But with the benefit of being quiet at night time so a good sleep is achievable.
Also little Indian area is just around the corner with delicious food available.
The owners of Thian Siong are so lovely and very helpful.
Great simple rooms, spotlessly clean and the shared toilet/shower. Comfortable, good aircon.
Loved my 4 night stay here.
When I come back to Malacca and I will, this will be the place I will book, without hesitation.
