The apartment was perfect for 3 adults. The space was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location couldn’t have been better. We visited during Hogmanay and it was walking distance to everything but far enough away so there were no crowds or noise from the celebration around the apartment. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to be back one day!

Very good location for travelling to all areas of Edinburgh. Comfortable lounge area which we used to stay out of the rain!! Really well equipped kitchen and overall an great place to stay.

Great location. Lots of room. Easy communication with owner. Main bedroom mattress could use a refresh as well as shower, which has mold and needs caulking to prevent leaking all over the floor. And as others have noted, the toilets need attention. Overall, a nice place to stay!

The greatest plus of the apartment is of course it location. It is located in the very heart of Edinbourgh. The Royal Mile is only a few steps away. Many highlights can be reached within a short walk. I also recommend going up to Arthurs Seat, great view!

Had a great visit to Edinburgh for the Fringe. Flat is brilliant location, good secure parking and comfortable clean flat. Host was v responsive and appreciated her flexibility in leaving car in secure parking following checkout for a couple of extra hours to allow us to enjoy last few hours of our trip.

Property is in great location & has washer/dryer but unfortunately, those are the only positives. Wasn’t clean. Socks & feet were dirty/had things stuck to them after walking around. Dust bunnies. Bathrooms smelled bad. Toilets didn’t flush well. Mold in shower. Mattresses not comfortable. Master bedroom carpet is gross. Our boys begged to find somewhere else to stay.

The property was very well located in a quiet street just off the Royal Mile with a Tesco's around the corner.
The property was a bit tired but certainly adequate and had a car space which was good. It was also great to have a washing machine.
We could not find a cloth for wiping down the benches in the kitchen but managed with paper towels. There was only about half an inch of dishwashing liquid left in the bottle. That was all we needed as we ate out for lunch and dinner.
Be warned - the extraction fan in the ensuite bathroom sounds like a jet engine taking off but is very effective!
Overall, the apartment met our needs for a very enjoyable 4 night stay in Edinburgh.

We were very lucky to find this gem of a rental! It was cute, clean and had exactly everything we needed for two nights in York. We especially appreciated the parking and the excellent location.
I highly recommend this flat if travelling alone or with another person.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Having a place to park our car off the street in a secure garage was fantastic! Checking in and directions for getting the keys out of the lockbox must be followed exactly as the photos and instructions indicate. Once inside, we found the flat spotlessly clean and everything you need for an extended stay. As stated, the Royal Mile is just a short walk uphill. We hardly used our car(once to visit the Royal Yacht Brittania) as many of the major attractions are within walking distance. Interaction between the property manager and myself using messaging was instantly addressed and the couple of minor issues we had were taken care of. Final note, is when you go out, be sure to use the skeleton key to lock the deadbolt. We thought the door locked upon leaving, but found after returning that we could walk right in! No worries though as the building is very secure and any tenants we ran into were very friendly. Lastly, we would return on our next visit to Edinburgh and recommend this property for your visit to the area.

Location is excellent! We like to get out and explore when on vacation and this apartment is close to everything. Arthur's seat, Royal mile, Parliament and places I don't even know the names of but were so neat. There is also a Tesco grocery store right around the corner (like 2 minutes away) and an excellent Indian restaurant opposite. As for the apartment, it was comfy, quiet and we felt safe. It came fully equiped with everything you needed (thanks for the tea bags left in the cupboard btw, the kettle was on for a cuppa the second we checked in LOL) The apartment was clean, though like a lot of VRBO's does show some wear and tear and could use a lick of paint and a few upgrades. But hey, I'm on vacation and not too concerned about that kind of stuff because we're out all day anyway. Check in was easy, just make sure to read/follow the instructions and photos you are sent and you'll be fine. My only 2 gripes were, the master bathroom (the one with the shower) does have a bit of mildew in the shower stall and the bed in that room was a bit uncomfy and noisy (and no, not like that- hahaha) but if you moved just the slightest it squeaked, I felt sorry for my husband as I toss and turn a lot in my sleep. Other than that, we had a great time and would return to this location.

A comfortable apartment. As advertised. Check-in process was quick, easy and communicated clearly. Elevator was a plus when wheeling suitcase for 10 days of travel (only four nights at this property). A two minute walk to the Royal Mile. Convenient to Arthur's Seat for either hiking or walking around to Sheep Heids Inn. Quiet neighborhood so could sleep with windows open without a lot of street noise. Fully equipped kitchen. Used washer/dryer and all went went. Would rent this property again.

Although the location was awesome, the apartment is in need of a thorough cleaning and some upgrades. The moldy shower was not pleasant. Otherwise, it was okay.

Property has good potential for a great stay, but handful of things did not meet expectations.
First, the key for apartment building access is located at hotel about ten blocks away -- so we had to get another taxi to get the key, and traveling with luggage made unexpected and irritating extra step. This should have been mention clearly as ""STEP 1"" for checkin instructions. Had it been raining this would have been really annoying because there is no covered area or lobby to wait outside (with liggage),
Second, heater did not go above 68F, which is tolerable, but we wasted alot of time communicating with property owner trying to troubledhoot, when ultimately nothing could be done.
Third, despite coordinating in advance and paying extra for two additional guests, we did not have enough towels. We did receive partial refund, but only affer complaint. Also, only one key to apartment and one key to apartment front door provided ............ so this forced extra coordination regarding daily arrival and departures to hotel when our group (total 5 people) were not all together.
Fourth, the apartment was generally clean, but the master bedroom shower stall has mildew in corners and bottom area.
Fifth, toilet is master bathroom had to be ""double flushed"" to work properly -- which we found out by trial and error.
Much better communication and attention to detail strongly recommended for property owner.

As foreigners we had problems using appliances—primarily stove and washer. The apartment itself is located well for our touring about but needs a deep clean. Towels are fluffy, beds are comfortable, and the living room suited us.

The location in Edinburgh was great. We were able to walk everywhere. The host was very accommodating and there were very specific instructions on almost everything (except how to turn on the oven). We had a car, so the locked garage space was perfect. The check in process was easy but not convenient. Checking in at a hotel several blocks away added to the stress of finding the address. Luckily, we had a car, so we were able to tote our luggage around until we arrived. All in all, a nice place.

The property was just as it was described. Cute, clean, two bedroom apartment with a great location. The kitchen has everything you need, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave and an all in one washer/dryer. The unit is in a secure building and it was mere steps from the Royal Mile. We had no trouble picking up the key and then getting into the buildling. I had one question during our stay and the rep answered it very quickly. We had a great stay here.

This is a lovely, wonderful place!! We were so happy to land here while traveling. The beds are wonderful, two baths A+, the kitchen is nice (except I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the stove; instructions might have helped). The location is marvelous. I highly recommend, really. I gave only one sad note.
My note of difficulty was with the check-in and out process. We were traveling by coach & on foot, and making the trek up the hill to pick up keys was hard after a long day. That wasn’t too bad- the real bummer though was having to do the same walk up to drop off the keys. I really wanted to drop them through the mail slot - and I really don’t understand why that wasn’t possible. Apparently there should have been two sets of keys for us, so I could have taken one set back to the pickup place the night before departure while we were out…
But - there was no extra set in the Apt.
Which in retrospect is also a bummer, because it would have given my son & I a bite more freedom. It’s also not my fault there weren’t two sets of keys, and I don’t feel like I should have had to deal with that problem.
It’s really a beautiful place, but that little bit of frustration was a bummer. Traveling with a teen isn’t easy, and those little frustrations add up - so I know my own level of weariness made this more of a big deal for me than it might be for anyone else. I paid what was a LOT for me to have two luxurious, easy nights and days in Edinburgh. And the walking to another hotel while already tired tarnished a bit of the luxury and ease I would have otherwise really enjoyed.

Excellent location. Complicated check in process and difficult to find in the dark. Irritating lack of attention to detail e.g. I couldn’t close my bedroom door because the door handle had been fitted the wrong way round, extractor fans were super noisy & so I suspect needed maintenance, hairs on the wall in one bathroom & dirt on the wall of shower in other bathroom (cleaned from outside shower with door open & so rear of door not seen when cleaning?). If that sort of thing doesn’t bother you but location is your number one priority then you will be very happy here.

Nice place close to the Royal Mile. You should get a lock box at the unit for the key. It is not convenient to have an extra stop a half a mile away to pick up AND have to drop off a key.

This flat is wonderful. Really fabulous location, just down a hill from the Royal Mile, and there's a dandy little coffee shop around the corner. Restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Check in was a little unnervy as we had to find a hotel to get the key and we had trouble finding said hotel (it's at the bottom of where the street is closed off so it was difficult to judge where to go to get to the hotel.) But the flat itself was very nice.

The location of the property was excellent for visiting the Castle, Palace and all touristy spots along the Royal Mile. It was well appointed of you were planning a longer stay. Lock up garage was very convenient.

We were surprised that the key to the apartment needed to be picked up @ a hotel 15 minutes from apartment.
Once we made it to the apartment we were disappointed with the interiors. One bathroom had yellow water stains on 2 of the walls. The bedroom had dirt marks on walls and on the light switches. The baseboard molding is broken and hanging off of the wall. The heat valve is completely broken off the the radiator. These really need to be taken care of for future guests. I have pictures of the problems if you would like them.
We didn’t receive clear instructions with correct unit number in advance. Luckily we ran into the cleaning team who told us the correct apartment number.
Not a good value. We expected way better for what we paid.
It would be nice to have a laminated bullet points available for a quick review instead of trying to find old correspondence in Vrbo messages.
