The location of the hotel is incredible. It is inside Seoraksan national park, while taking a shower you can see the mountains covered in Korean red pines. It is close to a bus stop where you can catch a bus that brings you in 2 minutes at the start of all the hiking paths. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was nice. Great value for money!

This is an amazing hotel! The staff is so incredibly friendly and took the time to give us many tips about the beautiful surroundings and good hiking routes. It is perfectly situated for many gorgeous hikes or smaller walks through nature. Can only most warmly recommend and say thank you for having us!

Great location, good home-made breakfast, very pleasant homely enviroment with incredibly nice owners who were super helpful!
I hate giving a lower rating since the owners' attitude is a definite 10/10. But I think it's fair to other travelers to point out, that the quality and cleanliness of the facilities wasn't the best.
The property is classified as Motel here on Booking. Well, don't expect a hotel, expect a family-run hostel with private rooms.
Carpet in the halls could use some vacuuing, there was mold on the bathroom curtain, all furniture is very dated, stains on walls.
I was ok with that but given the stellar rating I was disappointed at first.

Good location for park, but you still have to get the bus there, or its a 25 minute walk.
No idea why it got such good ratings, it's tired, dated, the hall and lounge area smell, the air-conditioning was very noisy, it doesn't have 'mountain views' the window is behind a cupboard thing and the windows frosted so you can't see out anyway. The bed is hard with a weird bottom sheet, and all the towels are tiny. I really thought about abandoning my second night there, but after a tough walk in the park, I didn't have the energy to move. Breakfast very ordinary.
The area it is located is like an abandoned town, I felt very uncomfortable there. The owners try, but they speak no english so everything is done using google translate. I really didn't
