The property is perfect for a relaxing getaway: It is in a beautiful area of wide open countryside with direct access to walks in the Oregon badlands, big skies with snow topped mountains in the distance, perfect to admire vivid dawn and dusk colors and dark skies to stargaze at night. The property is just as depicted in the pictures: Western themed and comfortable and very well supplied. Not just generic rental art and cheapest possible pots and pans but things good enough for family and friends of the hosts to stay there as well. Bed is comfortable. The host was easy to reach, friendly and informative. 15 min drive to Bend for access to city life. 30 min drive to Smith Rock for hiking and climbing. We also explored painted hills, fossil beds, castle rock, crack in the ground, chimney rock from there and had a grand time.

Location, amenities and property
Main refrigerator door won’t stay closed. Seems like a minor problem but for such a nice property but, was annoying as we cooked several meals. Was the only annoying feature of the entire stay.
