We were staying just for 1 night as a stopover from Vancouver before travelling Icefields parkway toward Jasper. Canmore location worked well as a base camp with plentiful places to eat within walking distance of the accomodation. Main street itself where more of the main shops are restaurants are is about a 15 minute walk but there is a closer shopping mall as well for coffee shops. Room is small and there was nowhere to put clothes to unpack cases so it was cramped walking over our cases to get round the room . However, for 1 night it was fine as we left everything in the cases and the room itself had good provisions of toiletries and tea/ coffee making facilities and. Microwave/ cooker if needed. With so many restaurants and takeaways nearby there was no need to do any cooking. Communication with the host was really good when we couldn’t find anywhere to park initially. We were guided round the back of the building where there was a free space.
The communal areas really let Windtower rooms down. Carpets really old and stained and quite dreary paintwork and scratched walls/ wood make the walk to the room a little unpleasant. The room itself was much brighter. Room is ok for 1 night or maybe 2 for one person as no room to unpack a case of clothes.

A really nice room, with plenty of space and a really big, comfortable bed. The room was clean and easy to find, even had a little table and a kitchenette.
In the advertisement it is said that there is private parking and no need for reservation. When we arrived we drove through the garage for about 30 minutes before we messaged the host to ask where we could find our spot ( as they are all numbered by unit ) and he didn’t respond. After another 30 minutes we called him, and he told us there is no space for our unit. I asked if there was free street parking, which there was but do keep in mind that it is very busy and you’ll sometimes have to ride around for quite sometime before you find a spot. It’s not really that big of a deal but it would be nice if it’s noted correctly in the listing so you don’t waste an hour looking for a parking spot :)
