The property was chosen for its location, but given the issues was far from value for money.

The location was perfect, situated close to Chichester, Bosham and Portsmouth which were the 3 main locations we planned to visit.

On entering the property it was clear that it had not been cleaned for some time. No attempt had been made to remove dust, clean the crockery (with dirty mugs), clean the dining table property or brush the stair carpet that clearly is covered in hairs. The smoke alarm was beeping when we arrived, and after the maintenance man had changed the battery 4 times, he had to remove the sensor and replace it the following morning. We did not receive the check-in details and had to chase by phone, email and WhatsApp on the day of arrival before we finally got them. The fact that there is no parking space is a real issue given that the maximum parking time in the car park is 4 hours. Finally, there was no mention that the stairs were on a very steep angle and would be difficult for aged guests or those with leg issues, to access.

Charming house in a beautiful location

Amazing location right on the water, well furnished and comfortable, all the utensils and equipment you could need. Great communication from the hosts. Loved the open fire and woodburner - super cosy! Overall, a lovely spot for a break as a couple with great walks and places to shop and eat nearby.

The house was VERY cold upon arrival and couldn't make the heating / hot water work - it turned out the boiler had faulted and needed resetting but made for a very cold first night! The house was very clean overall but quite a few cobwebs around lights / above eye line and a few marks on the sheets. Mattress also very soft - not great for our backs but might suit others!
