Die Lage direkt am Strand ist natürlich nicht zu toppen. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch die Terrasse des Appartements Nr. 4, das wir bewohnt haben, sowohl von der Größe her als auch von der Möblierung. Die kleine Küche ist völlig ausreichend in jeder Hinsicht, es sei denn, man will täglich Menüs kochen.
Gemütlich ist das Appartement nicht, nicht nur wegen der Ikea- Einrichtung, das ist Geschmackssache, aber es hätte nicht die billigste Ausführung sein müssen. Ich bewundere immer unsere französischen Nachbarn, die in einem 1,40 m breitem Bett zu zweit schlafen können. Wir können das leider nicht mehr, aber keiner von uns kann auch in einem 0,80 m breiten Bett schlafen, insofern war’s nicht sehr bequem. Aber das ist unsere Ansicht und hat keine Allgemeingültigkeit. Es gibt auch eine Schlafcouch, die haben wir allerdings nicht ausprobiert.

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist super – direkt am Strand und trotzdem nur ca. 20 Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Die Wohnung selbst ist gut ausgestattet: Das Bad wurde vor kurzem renoviert und ist mit hochwertigen Sanitäranlagen und Möbeln ausgestattet. War sauber und gepflegt. Die Schlüssel-Armbänder waren sehr praktisch. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die riesige Terrasse mit Schatten und Privatsphäre, sowie die Außendusche – ideal, um nach dem Strand den Sand loszuwerden. Das Personal war stets freundlich.
Leider hatten wir während unseres 1,5-wöchigen Aufenthalts durchgehend Probleme mit dem WLAN – anfangs gar keine Verbindung, später zwar möglich, aber sehr langsam und unzuverlässig. Außerdem kamen 7,50 € pro Person für Bettwäsche/Handtücher sowie fast 60 € Kurtaxe extra dazu, obwohl auf Booking “Einschließlich Steuer und Gebühren” stand. In der Küche gab es zudem nur eine große Pfanne und ein großes Schneidebrett - ein paar kleinere hätten uns gutgetan.
Trotz dieser Kritikpunkte haben wir unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und würden die Residence auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

1. Hidden extra charges on arrival
Upon arrival, we had to pay extra for towels and bed linen. This information was not mentioned on Booking.com. We paid €56 for two sets of bed linen and three sets of towels, plus another €19 for some kind of tax, even though Booking.com stated that all taxes and fees were included and that there would be no additional charges. Moreover, the bed linen was not even put on the beds.
2. Unreasonable cleaning policy
At check-out, we were expected to leave the apartment exactly as we found it, including cleaning the bathroom, toilet, refrigerator, floors, and all surfaces. However, the apartment only provided a broom and a mop—no cleaning products.
We washed the dishes, wiped the surfaces, swept the floor, folded the bed linen, and took out the rubbish, but were told this was not enough. Instead, we were offered to pay €90 for cleaning a 30 sq. m apartment. €90 is the kind of price you would expect for cleaning an entire house, not a small studio.
This policy feels misleading because guests would apparently need to bring toilet cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and other cleaning supplies with them on holiday to avoid this charge—which is obviously unrealistic. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m., while check-in is only at 4:00 p.m., so it is also unclear why guests are expected to do the cleaning themselves if the apartment remains unavailable for another six hours.
Overall, this cleaning policy and the excessive €90 cleaning fee felt unreasonable and like a hidden extra charge.
