Crest-Voland is a beautiful quiet little village (when we stayed here during the summer), with a nice bakery, traiteurs, a supermarket and lots of restaurants. The location is great, an hour from Chamonix, an hour from Annecy, an hour from Chambery, but you can also go for a lovely hike right from the apartment. We didn't have much interaction with our hosts, but they seemed kind and welcoming.

We would really like to be more positive, but we just didn't have pleasant week here. The apartment was right underneath the rooftop and very hot. It was quite outdated, dusty, not clean, and the steep sloping ceilings meant we could barely walk in the bedrooms. At the end of the week two of us were ill, and we felt staying here did not help (because of the dust).
