Fiyavalhu Resort Maldives

The resort is beautiful, clean, the staff is kind and friendly, the food is good, Larisa's smile at every meal puts you in a good mood! Seyber and he made us feel good the whole stay!

It’s boring, there should be more entertainment.

Nice clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even though it was fully booked it was not crowded, there were plenty of space for everyone. Nice pool area.

The buffet food, even though it was okay nothing really wrong with it, it was still a buffet if you know what I mean. Beach erosion. No local coral reefs. The swimming with the turtles tour, didn’t see any turtles and reef and fish life was not as impressive as we had seen elsewhere.

Our two-week stay at this Maldivian resort was, without exaggeration, the best vacation we’ve ever had. Everything about this place feels like a dream you never want to wake up from. The surrounding nature is breathtaking—turquoise water, soft white sand, and lush greenery everywhere you look. Every morning felt like stepping into a postcard. The island is beautifully maintained yet still feels wild and authentic. We truly appreciated the resort’s connection to local Maldivian culture. Whether through small cultural elements, activities, or interactions, it added depth to the vacation and helped us feel connected to the place beyond its natural beauty. Every meal was a highlight. Whether it was fresh seafood, themed dinner, or creative desserts, the quality and variety were outstanding. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care into every dish. The resort staff made our stay unforgettable. Special thanks definitely need to go to Larisa (having the warmest heart), Sittiran (making the best scrambled eggs that side of the planet), Arees (who was always happy for a friendly small talk), Najmul (never forgetting our favorite morning drink choice), Sohel (welcoming us with a kind smile every day) and Seyber (our guide to the local culture). But generally indeed everyone - from the reception to housekeeping to the restaurant teams - was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making guests happy. Their kindness really made the island feel like home. The dive center also deserves a special shout‑out. The team was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the underwater world. We explored vibrant reefs, met incredible marine life, and felt completely safe and supported throughout all activities.

Honestly, the only negative part of the entire experience was having to leave. We wished to be able to stay longer!

The rooms were modern and nice and the pillows were beyond comfortable. We had book the beach villas so the views were amazing. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do more for you. We met 3 members of staff who went above and beyond to make our experience (Sasha, Ashi and Ashee)

The lack of entertainment in the evening was a major let down for the property. The resort was a ghost town after 8pm leaving us to have a few games of table tennis and be in bed early every night. We felt that the hotel could have accommodated a bit more for the lack of entertainment by adding some of the chargeable extras for free like the beach cinema. The lack of choice of the food also was a major factor to why we have chosen to not return to the hotel. The buffet which is included in the board price was the same food for breakfast lunch and dinner with little variety between each night (would be the same curry, same noodles, same rice etc each night and lunch) would of been nice to have themes and more variety especially as it is only one of 2 places to eat on the resort. The second place to eat which was the pool side cafe was also very limited and the drinks options were extremely expensive. Another restaurant needs to be included for the size of the resort. We also found there was a major lack of communication from the reception when checking out of the hotel since the member of staff that checked us in had left. I found myself chasing the reception staff 5 times to get answers about our check out and pcr test results with each time going up to the front desk all of them relying on each other to answer my questions and no one really knowing what’s going on.
