We liked the location of Lanapoule, with the town, pubs, restaurants, shops and beaches all in walkable distance. Most of the bedrooms were spacious with ample storage and comfortable beds. The bathrooms had good showers and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen area was well equipped and had space to store your own groceries etc. We were very pleased that both our dogs were welcomed and a stair gate thoughtfully provided. We enjoyed very pleasant week in Lanapoule.
There were some minor niggles - the washing machine was very small and the rubber seal was filthy and full of sand. We had to wash it before we could use it. The linen on some beds was getting old and the fitted sheet on one of the double beds didn’t fit the mattress we had to stretch it back over the mattress every morning, which was annoying. The WiFi went down on day 2 after the storms and despite reporting to Sykes Holiday Cottages and the owner, it was never re-installed. The owner did phone us but we had no communication at all from Sykes. Communication from Sykes was poor, both regarding the WiFi and arrival times. All the auto generated emails about the stay came through - but other communication, made via Booking.com who we booked with, was never responded to.

Good location and great views from the upstairs living area. The property was very comfortable, homely and well equipped. There was a nearby Spar which was very useful and the open air swimming pool was also only a short walk away.
There was only room for 1 car off road, our second car had to be parked on the road, which we didn't expect. I booked the property as I needed 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, however the 3rd bathroom was in the summer house at the bottom of the garden down 2 sets of steps. This meant it was unusable for normal family use, and I had therefore booked a 4 bedroom / 2 bathroom property. I feel that the description of the property should be amended to reflect these 2 points.

Perfect property for a short break with all of the family and pets, great size property, lovely kitchen and all of the bedrooms are a great size
Parking wasn't really for 2 cars but plenty of space on the road
