We had a lovely stay at Olympus Hill. The apartment is in a wonderfully quiet part of old Litochoro and was the perfect base for combining walking and hiking on Mount Olympus with lazy afternoons at the beach.
Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, and in fact her whole family were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We were even given fresh towels and sundries during our stay, which was a really thoughtful and unexpected bonus.
The apartment was peaceful, spacious and relaxing, with a lovely balcony and plenty of outdoor space for drying beach towels and walking gear. We particularly loved being close to beautiful Plaka Beach, which became our favourite, with its quiet beach, lovely beach bar and fantastic little fish taverna.
The location is also brilliant for accessing the walks and hiking routes on Mount Olympus. Being able to hike in the morning and then spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing on the beach was pretty much our perfect holiday.
We had such a relaxing stay and would love to come back.
Only a couple of very small points, neither of which affected how much we enjoyed our stay.
The kitchenette has a large fridge, sink and small stove, but the space is quite compact, so using the stove for much more than very simple cooking would be a little difficult.
There is also no air conditioning. There was a fan provided, but during the particularly hot weather we experienced it was sometimes difficult to get much of a breeze into the bedroom.
A car is also really useful here if you want to combine the mountains with the beach. Apparently there is a bus to the coast, although we didn’t see it during our stay.

Emplacement au calme, dans les hauteurs de la ville tout en restant accessible à pied (15mn). Ventilateur plafonnier apprécié dans la chambre.
L’équipement de la cuisine peut-être un peu juste si vous voulez vraiment cuisiner, plan de travail limité.

Bedroom nicely decorated, linen good and clean, big table in kitchen.
Bathroom rather uncomfortable, poor cooking facilities, lack of ventilation, sockets in short supply.
