The house is beautiful. The gardens are beautifully laid out. The hosts were incredibly helpful. The house has an extraordinary history - Isabelle and Miguel told me some extraordinary historical stories about their grandparents - I will not spoil it by posting here, but if you are interested in WW2 you are in for an amazing treat!

We had a fantastic stay at Maison de charme en forêt de Fontainebleau. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located to enjoy both the forest and the nearby town. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a true home away from home.
What really made the experience stand out was the host, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay memorable.
The breakfast was also excellent, fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day.
