We stayed at HaliVacay for 4 nights and it was wonderful. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to spend time in Halifax and also wanting to get out of the city easily to explore the rest of Nova Scotia. The main sights of Halifax are within walking distance, and there are so many great places to eat nearby.
This home is comfortable, bright, beautiful, spacious and clean. The hosts have made sure evrrything you need for a wonderul stay is accessible, and it is easy to contact them. They are very responsive. Another extra is the small garden and outdoor seating. So nice to have this space while on vacation, something you will never find at a hotel.
We will absolutely be back to HaliVacay and recommend it to anyone we know who is headed to Halifax.

We enjoyed our stay in Wendy and Carol’s place on Duncan Street. They made an extra effort to accommodate our schedule and we really appreciated that. The proximity to downtown and to our family in the South End enabled us quick and easy access to the places we needed to be. We enjoyed walking too. The off street parking was a bonus.

Wendy and Carol were great hosts; easy check-in, quick responses, and they welcomed us with a nice message for our son (who was competing in the North American Indigenous Games). They even asked mid-way through our stay how he did during competition!
The rental was super close to the Commons, easy walking distance to downtown, harbour, restaurants and shopping. Loved that we had a dedicated parking space as well.

What a beautiful duplex in an excellent location. We rented both the upper and lower duplex for our family. Great place for everyone to get together. The units were well outfitted, walking distance to town and many great restaurants and shopping in the area. Wendy and Carol were great hosts. Thank you again and we will stay with you when we come back to Halifax.

Convenient to Halifax's waterfront (about a mile walk), restaurants, museums, public gardens, and casino. Owers were easy to communicate with and prompt in addressing any questions. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Wendy and Carol

Had a great stay in this lovely apartment . It is well appointed and has everything you could want . It is walking distance of downtown Halifax and there are plenty of restaurants nearby . Would happily book again .

We had a wonderful time at this property. We were two couples visiting the east coast for the first time. It was exactly as described and was perfect for our visit. Very well maintained and there is a lovely back yard to relax in at the end of the day. Location was excellent and within walking distance of downtown and several attractions. The hosts left a very detailed book which included nearby restaurants and detailed information. Parking was also included. We would definitely stay here again if returning to the area.

We rented the property for two couples. The house is better equipped than any other we have rented which made it great - so much so that we hosted a dinner party. The location is easy to access and convenient to access downtown and explore the area. Highly recommend!

We rented both units in the house to accommodate 6 adults, (3 couples). It worked out beautifully. The units had easy off street parking and were large, bright and very clean and well equipped for our visit. There were grocery and liquor stores within a 10 min walk as well as lots of restaurants in the area. The harbor was about a 30 min walk. Easy to get there, uphill on the way back. Ubers were plentiful and inexpensive. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The apartment was bigger than thought with access to the private backyard. Very clean and everything you need to make oir stay loke home.

Everything about this stay was top-notch. The communications, the accuracy of the listing, the welcoming hosts, the comfort and location of the space. One highlight was how well-equipped the kitchen is - so much better than the minimalist cutlery/dishes etc of many places. Also - very comfy beds! Wendy and Carol have created a lovely, cozy space that I hope to visit again sometime.

This is a well-cared for apartment in a wonderful neighborhood near the Citadel and within walking distance of the harbor. The fenced in backyard was a bonus that our dog enjoyed. Very clean. We didn't require anything but the hosts were attentive without being intrusive.

This was our first visit to the Halifax and we couldn't have chosen a better accommodation. The pictures don't lie, the home is warm, comfortably furnished, well lit, beds are great and my wife loved the jet tub. Kitchen appliances are in excellent condition and are of good quality. The dinnerware provided is of high quality and plentiful. The location is close to downtown and the boardwalk. However, Not really walking distance for most as Halifax has some very steep streets. A short cab ride or quick drive gets you to downtown , restaurants and historical sites. Great Italian restaurant only a 2 minute walk and others close by. Owners provided a binder full of valuable information on the home and neighborhood and were available anytime if we had any concerns or questions. Parking on-site is good, but may be a bit of a challenge if you have a large SUV or van.

Loved our month long stay! The duplex (this is the first level of a two-story home) is very clean and well equipped. I love to cook, and this kitchen had every accoutrement, from a salad spinner to an immersion blender, lovely pots, pans, and nice dishes. King bed was super comfy. Tons of pillows, which was fabulous. Two bedrooms AND a small office = bonus! House is well maintained. Semi-urban area on beautiful tree lined street - we could walk to stores and restaurants. Fenced yard for the furballs, and we felt safe walking them in the neighborhood as well. Carol & Wendy are super responsive, respectful hosts who gave us great tips on where to go and what to see. Awesome location – just minutes to everything. Off street parking – yay! Be sure to do brunch at La Piazza and grab a flight of ciders and oysters at Chain Yard.

Loved this accommodation near the Citadel. This main floor home was so stylish, functional, and cozy. Lovely back yard access was our morning coffee ritual. Lots of personal touches: best pillows ever, many kitchen amenities, comfy couch, laundry made easy, and 2 bathrooms made this home perfect for us. Communication was frequent, clear, and easy. Cozy and Perfect
My wife, and 3 kiddos ( ages 7, 5, and 20 months) spent about a week here and the house was perfect! my wife loved the modern touch to the house, the kids loved the backyard and access to netflix, and I really appreciated how close the place was to all the great places to see in Halifax. Highly recommend this and the hosts were amazing :)

Very comfortable, clean and well laid out floor plan. The cupboards are well stocked with everything you need to cook/bake. Easy check-in and great communication with owner. If we were to give any needs for improvement is, there’s no cable TV to watch a hockey game. Would definitely stay here again.
