De omgeving en de ingebouwde sauna.
Een paar mankementen waar toch aandacht moet aan gegeven worden door de eigenaar.

De ligging van het verblijf en de omgeving. Er zijn ook fantastische wandel routes bij de ingang van het park (de gele route is 14 km en niet 11km). Centerparks is 1.8km van het huisje.
De gansen rond het meer die redelijk agressief waren, maar ze deden wel niets.

Het huisje en de ligging is ideaal het is centraal en de rust en het uitzicht is prachtig. Elke ochtend heerlijk naar de bakker lopen waar de kinderen elke ochtend een gratis broodje kregen of hardlopen rond het meer. Wat ook heerlijk is dat je met warme temperaturen geen airco nodig hebt de bomen zorgen ervoor dat het huisje in de schaduw blijft. In de avond kleurt het meer echt prachtig, als je wat later in de avond loopt heb je de kans dat je bever familie voorbij ziet zwemmen. Ook is er een heerlijke friterie aan het begin van de straat deze zit bij het station, Daar hebben we regelmatig gehaald en in het gras voor het huisje aan het water ze opgegeten. Perfect huisje voor een heerlijke vakantie, we gaan hier vaker komen.
Niks het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, maar als ik dan iets moet benoemen dan is het dat er geen traphekje boven is als je er kinderen laat slapen. Dit was zo opgelost door het droogrek hier voor te zetten.

We loved the location and the river views. We also enjoyed the sauna.
It is such a nice holiday home with great views. It's sad that little things got in the way of really enjoying our stay.
We had to hire or bring our own towels and bed linen, but toilet paper would be provided.
Electricity use would be charged and deducted from our bond. On arrival and departure, we had to fill out paperwork, take a photo of the electricity meter and email this. There was a large sign in the kitchen area with all the different waste collections. If the waste was not separated correctly or left behind in the apartment, we would have to pay an extra fee. There was also a decibel meter in the apartment, monitoring the noise 24/7. if the noise within the apartment became too loud, we would be fined.
We had booked the apartment for a week and noticed that the under the sink cupboard was so dirty that it could become a health hazard, the couch had a large tear in it and the only outdoor chair (stored in the laundry) was that torn that we could not use it. After putting our belongings inside we had to go to the supermarket to buy toilet paper, tea towels, dishwashing brush, cleaning products, cleaning cloths. bin liners etc. Nothing was provided except half a roll of toilet paper. We live in Australia and had planned our Europe trip very carefully. All the above is very new to us and it felt really deflating, but it could be that this is standard practice in Belgium.
