Located in Jay, this lovely house for $302 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to the Journeys End Chalet! We are located just a quick 10 minute ride from the base of Jay Peak Resort, home to some of the best skiing and riding in the Northeast. The chalet is set on a beautiful and private 11 acres just a stones throw from the Canadian border. We love all dogs and your well behaved furry friends are welcome in our home. We are located directly on the VAST trail system so bring your snowmobile and enjoy! Our 2 bedroom chalet has an open floor plan and a spacious loft with 2 double beds. The master bedroom has one Queen bed. There are 2 futons located downstairs in the man cave which has toasty radiant heat for the cold winter months in the Northeast Kingdom. There is also a pool table downstairs which is a guest favorite. There are 3 flat screen TV's as well as super fast WIFI which guests will have access to. Bring your Netflix login and have a cozy movie night! The house boasts a HUGE elevated deck that can be enjoyed year round and is great for taking in the outdoors. We are located directly off a town maintained dirt road and our guests have full access to the property and can enjoy 11 private wooded acres complete with an outdoor fire pit.

We had a wonderful time at Journey's End! The property, amenities, and home decor were lovely. There was not tons to do nearby in the summer, but we enjoyed some kayaking, lots of relaxing, hanging out by the fire pit, playing pool, and venturing into Newport VT and Magog QC.

This was a perfect setting - close to Jay Community Recreation Center (beautiful trails), our favorite hikes, and the property itself was beautiful! Very well maintained yard, outdoor shower, fire pits, hammock - all wonderful touches. Finished basement with pool table provided a cool and fun respite from the heat. Kitchen and bathroom well stocked, plenty of towels (thank you), and overall was exactly as owners described. It was a great place to spend 4 days soaking up VT NEK. Thanks so much!

The house was perfect for our weekend at Jay Peak. We have a couple of dogs so staying at Jay Peak wasn't an option. The place is very nicely updated and well maintained. It's a very easy 15 minutes to the mountain. Only downfall is we couldn't stay longer!

Property was exactly as described and about an easy 15 minutes from Jay Peak. The house was well kept, had great views, and I much appreciated the complimentary coffee. My kids loved the dart board and running around outside in the snow. Wifi worked well, and the house had everything we were looking for during our family ski vacation. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Excellent ski house with great layout. Property was newer and very well maintained. Cleanest ski house we’ve ever stayed in including our own. Highly recommended. We had a very good trip and the hosts were terrific!

Great place near jay peak, well located. As described. An other bathroom would have been great considering the fact that there’s 8 sleeping spot. We were 7 so it was inconvenient to only have one bathroom. Would have been nice to be able to use the indoor electric fireplace but it was locked.

The Journeys End Chalet sits about 20 minutes outside of Newport City center, about 20 minutes from Jay Peak ski resort, and 10 minutes from the Canadian border. The house is clean, safe, comfortable and quiet. The owners were attentive and responsive. We would book this property again in a heartbeat.

We came to get away from it all -- relax, recharge, hike a little and bike a little - this home was the perfect place for all of that. Nicely decorated, comfy furniture, super clean, well cared for and most of all quiet. The wind was the loudest noise we heard aside from the pop-up t-storms in the afternoon and nearby fireworks display early on our second night. Only a handful of cars passed on the dirt road during the day. It really is a place of peace. Kitchen is well stocked (even good prep knives!) and the flat-top grill is amazing. Excellent WiFi to reconnect and catch up on Netflix at night. Pool table and darts on the lowest level was a fun bonus! The 'utility' area of the lowest level was perfect for storing our bikes and bike rack when we were not using them. Our normally play-active pups loved simply lounging on the deck which speaks to the calming nature of the home and this area of VT in general. The views from the deck are great during the day and stargazing heaven at night. The trails on the property were fun for quick jaunts with the dogs. It's easy to access the Jay Community Rec Center trails, the Long trail, and just a short drive from the cute town of Newport. We biked Memphremagog as well as the Craftsbury Outdoor Center - both a little further away but entirely worth it. H&A - can't thank you enough for your hospitality, generosity and playing a part in my special b-day retreat. We hope to visit again soon!

Great property and location! Hosts were very attentive and easy to communicate with. Our only disappointment was that the grill was not there, despite it being listed as one of the amenities. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

A very nice place. Smaller but laid out well. Kitchen well stocked with check in treats that were appreciated. Owners were great. The “security cameras in use” emphasis reduced my enthusiasm along with the “smile you’re on camera” signs in the woods next to the house. I wanted a secluded, private experience and this wasn’t it.

We've traveled extensively around the world and the owners of this property have clearly put a ton of effort into making sure you have everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Very well maintained. If you are looking for a mountain getaway, definitely consider this place.

Great house, great location, great value!

This was a very enjoyable experience to have stayed at this property located in a quiet and mostly secluded location. The house was very clean and well-equipped to accomodate our entire group of 8. Being only about 15 minutes away from Jay Peak, this property was a fantastic "bang-for-the-buck" and a great place to relax after a long day of skiing/snowboarding. Will be recommending this property to others and hope to return soon!

We had a perfect stay. It’s a great, safe location to bring dogs with a nice hiking trail right up the road. The home is spotless and very well appointed and equipped. The hosts are fantastic. I only wish it was bigger so I could bring more friends and family next time we come! :)

We rented the Journeys End Chalet for a Thanksgiving getaway with our boys and dogs. Very clean, beautiful decor, and dog friendly! They even had dogs bowls and a dog bed for our doggies! We liked it so much, we asked to stay another night and luckily, it was available. The owners were very helpful and communicated well. Can't wait to rent it again!

The house is really lovely and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed the quiet setting with a great view of the mountains. The deck is perfect for relaxing with friends. Pro tip: bring a French press or other coffee maker if you’re not into Keurig pod coffee
