The location and absolute serenity of the premises.
So easy to find.
Full undercover parking.
The breeze blowing in the trees when reading my book outside.
The villas were incredible and beautifully laid out.
Not only cold water in the fridge but a varied choice of incredible craft beers, soft drinks and even mineral water.
We were thrilled to have large mugs for coffees and teas and large glasses to drink from and we enjoyed the choice of chips and nuts.
The water was beautifully hot with the choice for colder and the wifi was out of this world awesome.
The owner of this Hostel Pong was incredibly helpful, a wealth of knowledge with his craft beer bar but just a wonderful man, so friendly, accommodating and in my words a very proud and humble human being. His help regarding ordering to deliver or where restaurants were, his recommendations came highly regarded and they did not disappoint. I had to most succulent Pork Steak ever in Thailand as my companions also had meals that were so tasty and beautifully presented
When we venture again to Chumpon we will definitely be rebooking with Pong, this hostel is absolute 💯/ 💯 5☆☆☆☆☆

Common area was nice, and the location was very clean and tidy.
Beds are large enough, with a curtain and a locker.
The staff was not really here to help.
We were arriving late at night by train and kindly asked in advance if a cab could be arranged upon our arrival to save some time for everyone.
The staff basically told us to do it ourselves and use a cab from the station.
Needless to say that at 11pm there was not a single cab in town. We had to walk with all our bags for 2 miles to the hostel. As we've had no internet since the morning we just hoped there would be someone to welcome us. We ended up checking in at midnight, with a simple 'hello, here is the key, goodnight' talk.
I guess the staff was tired of waiting for us, but it's not like we proposed a solution that could have saved everyone the pain of a late check in...
Not a nice experience to have after a 5 hour train journey
Also don't expect a welcome note in the room. Instead you will find a long note listing all the items and prices if you damage or steal anything. So I think that sums it all...
