I love the spacious room and the cleanliness. Housekeeping is extremely diligent. The location of the hotel is perfect.
The pool area could be improved, like more comfortable loungers but it’s by no means a problem.

Location was spot on in walking distance of one of the night markets , reasonable pool on top of hotel and few bits of gym equipment
No kettle in the room , few tables for breakfast but no staff clearing up used tables , poor girl doing the cooking on her own , mosh mash of wether to pick token up for breakfast

Väldigt välstädat. Städades varje dag.Vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Fina rum med bra AC. Lugnt och tyst på nätterna. Att man fick en flaska vatten var varje dag. Poolen på taket och utsikten därifrån var super. Att det satt en säkerhetsvakt vid entrén dygnet runt. Att dom hade gratis WiFi.
Ingen utsikt. Bara en husvägg att titta på. Sängarna var lite för hårda.

I have used Smith Residence for a lot of years, and always been satisfied, but now they have changed their smoking policy, and I can't accept that, so I have find a new hotel, when I am in Chaing Mai.
The new smoking policy. It is forbidden to smoke on the balcony. I could maybe live with that, but they also have a bar, where it is now forbidden to smoke. The bar has an outside area with a roof, but you must not smoke. I used in the morning, when I had my breakfast, to sit in the bar and read my newspaper, have a cup of coffee and a cigarette, and in the evening have a beer and and a cigarette. But that is forbidden now. The only smoke area is in their garage, where they have put ou to small tables and ashtray s.. I don't want to sit in a garage or standing outside to smoke.
If you are a non smoker Smith Residence is still a good choise, but if you like to smoke a cigarette, find another hotel. I think Smith Residence should announce ther smoking policy, when you book the hotel.
