About this house rental
Nestled in Halls Gap, this charming house for $137 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Royston Lodge offers self-catered, dog-friendly accommodation in Halls Gap, The Grampians (Gariwerd), western Victoria, Australia. The house lies on 3200m2 of land in a quiet side-street, near the cycle track and 1.6km south of the main shopping area of Halls Gap. Walk to shops and restaurants, or rent a bike and get around town easily. The house has 3 bedrooms that sleep 7 people and sofa-beds in the lounge that can accomodate up to an additional 3 people (linens are not provided but currently cannot be arranged due to COVID-Safe practices). It has a newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen with a Breville double-boiler espresso machine and coffee bean grinder, dishwasher, gas cooking, electric oven, microwave and a full size refrigerator/freezer. The kitchen is stocked with basics including salt, pepper, oils and spices. Free wi-fi is included in the house for guests to use. The lounge has a 42”/106cm flat-screen SmartTV, DVD/blu-ray player, bluetooth sound-bar and iPod dock. Sofa seating is provided, comfortable for 7 people. including a double sofa-bed and a single sofa-bed. The lounge also has a wood-stove and firewood is provided. The main bathroom was recently renovated and includes a spacious double-shower, under-floor heating and a heated towel rail. The house has an air-conditioner and ceiling fans in the lounge and one bedroom. A large east-facing deck is a perfect place to enjoy meals while watching the birds and wildlife. A new gas BBQ is provided, and outdoor seating for a large group.

A awesome location and a very well appointed house. It was great to be right at the edge of the forest, and see wildlife from the comfort of our own balcony. Roos and Cockatoos galore. Paula was so helpful and great at communicating.

Royston Lodge was the perfect place to stay for us (4 adults, 4 kids and 1 dog)! Communication with Paula was great. We particularly enjoyed our meals on the deck, watching the kangaroos and parrots. It’s a beautiful part of the world and we would have liked to stay longer.

We enjoyed the property very much. The location is excellent, close to the shops. The house is well stocked with everything one might need. An additional fan is needed in the one bedroom for those hot nights.

Updated kitchen ( everything you need in a kitchen ), updated bathroom ( floor heating ) - ex large shower with choice of 2 showerheads ( 2 toilets 🚻 ) ..
Very comfortable & suitable amenities for 7 adults ..
Pet friendly is a bonus ( 2 happy pooches )

In a good position just out of town, local walking trails just up the road no car needed. The house had good facilities, however it was not very clean when we arrived. It is no good for anyone in a wheelchair, however for the hiker it is a good base.

Great location and house - well equipped and have thought of everything :-) the only feedback is that the lounge/couches look so good but are actually not comfortable to sit on. Thanks for everything - the bikes were great and made getting around town even easier!

We had a brilliant time, everything we needed for a winter getaway. Perfect location to access walks and an easy walk into town. Home well equipped to self cater and keep warm and cosy. A big thanks from our four-legged family members who loved their holiday (and the dog run).

Beautiful location, close enough to Halls Gap that you're just up the road, but far enough away that you feel like you're out on your own.
This place was a lovely home for our family's week in The Grampians.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, which I love in a holiday home. The coffee machine was a great addition.
The fireplace and well stocked wood pile made the cold nights nice and cosy.
Bedrooms were basic and the beds a bit squeaky, but they were comfortable and we were nice and warm.

Had a great week away at this property. Great location, a short walk from town. Situated on a large bush block. Fully equipped kitchen with excellent coffee machine, newly renovated bathrooms and great deck for that morning coffee. Made a fabulous base for all that The Grampians has to offer.

We spent a week at Royston Lodge. Everything was as described. Paula was easy to communicate with and provided plenty of information. It was an easy walk into the township and the bike/foot path is located just at the end of the long driveway. We really enjoyed the house very much. Thank you for a week of bliss Paula :-)

Fantastic location short walk to town, well equipped house with everything you need, lots of birds, kangaroos visiting daily, the house is in a peaceful, bushland setting, we loved it

Great pet friendly house. Everything was in house that you need. A couple of things that need to be updated would be the 2 queen mattresses they were so hard we could feel springs. Advertised was a dog run but couldn't and wouldn't put our dog in there as it was all overgrown up to our knees.
Otherwise are stay was lovely.

Peaceful tranquillity can be found here, with spacious bedrooms, ample amenities and a lovely place to feed and watch an array of wildlife. Paula is an excellent host. We will surely be back to our little slice of heaven very soon....

We had an incredible time here. The location was fantastic, just a couple of minutes away from all the shops. The house was incredibly well equipped and comfortable. There was nothing we needed that we didn’t have. The owner was so lovely and accommodating. She responded to my messages within minutes and very helpful. We loved our stay!

Secluded, peaceful, relaxing
The home has a lovely feel and very private, amongst gumtrees and wildlife. It’s an easy walk into town on the walking/bike tracks. We walked everywhere. Really appreciated the underfloor bathroom heating on our June stay, and firing up the espresso machine each morning.
