Location in the fields is nice. Located near some quite nice towns and near the motorway for onward travel. Rooms are adequately clean and spacious.
Where to begin...the rooms are fine, but the decor lacks any real charm, care or comfort. There is ongoing building work (hallway was undecorated). The walls and ceiling are paper-thin so you can easily hear other guests.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't like dogs. The owner's dog is friendly but barks a lot and follows you around everywhere. This is not ideal for a child or adult who doesn't like dogs. The garden also has a lot of dog poo which hasn't been picked up.
The pictures are deceptive as it shows a kitchen area but in reality this door is locked so you have no access to kitchen or drinks facilities.
Be aware that they charge an additional 50 euros for a dog and/or small child (50% extra on approx. room cost). They messaged about this beforehand, so no issues there, but this is expensive for this standard of accommodation and they demand it is paid in cash (a reputable place should offer a card option).
The biggest issue we had was the poor attitude or the owner and lack of customer service. We clearly communicated that we needed to leave by 7am to catch our Eurotunnel and they offered to provide a takeaway breakfast and the owner said he would be around from 6:30am (they also had some of our personal food in their fridge due to lack of kitchen access). However, in the morning, no sign at all. Despite knocking 7-8 times loudly on their door, no answer and we had to leave without our paid-for breakfast or personal food. The worst bit was when I messaged them later to complain they claimed that as we were English we must have been on 'English time' which was why we didn't see the owner (the breakfast area was locked and in darkness). When I pointed out that iPhones automatically update the time, they backed down on their laughable argument and offered a half apology but then continued to be rude in follow up messages.
