Your reference ID is: 571CF89. Good day, we did not sleep at Sea Star Accommodation and we would like to request a refund because we are extremely disappointed. 1. Since Sunday morning no one answered the phone for Sea Star. 2. Upon arrival we waiting 30min to have someone attend to us and finally security had to help find the person to give key. 3. The property was very neglected. 4. There was no electricity or back up power meaning no hot water, food could be kept cold. 5. Security was bad because property was very dark and isolated from people. 6. No cell phone reception made security risk high. 7. No wifi available. 8. Braai and tiles are broken and doors not lock sufficiently. 9. Grass was overground and overall maintenance not done. 10. Watermarks on wall. 11. No garbage bags inside bin. 12. Security at Legend main gate was smoking Dagga and high. 13. We couldn’t prepare food after not eating the whole day because no power and the solution was that Andrew will make a fire. 14. Back up lights also did not work so place was extremely dark. 15. Andrew was also unreachable before and during check-in, his wife said he was sleeping. (Monomotapa house helped us with accommodation).

The location was awesome, need to include free wifi as indicated on booking.com.

Cleanliness

We liked the area and the game drive.

From arrival day there was no electricity or back up supply, only the bed side lamps were back up lights. The 1 window handle was broken, we couldn't close it and bugs were flying in our room while we are sleeping Next day there was no electricity again from around 11:00 till nights while other units had. We couldn't get a hold of the manager most of the time because of network. There was nothing to do in the area and accommodation besides the game drive and spa which we ended up sleeping all day bored. There were frogs in the bathroom and by the bed and also a lizard which made things very uncomfortable for us and we had to leave in the middle of the night back to JHB.

The Hanglip Mountain, the Clubhouse breakfast

Only 1 wine glass, only 1 water glass, no milk or sugar, Aircon made a bad noise couldnt sleep the fan didnt work. Front door was broken and my fiance had to fix it, Bathroom blinds broken, 1 towel for 2 persons. No one available when we had to check in, we had to wait 3 hours to check in. Basicly the venue messed up our engagement totally. We waisted our money.

The rooms are big and spacious

The room was not cleaned properly, there was dust in some areas, and the restaurant is far and very expensive. Please get a generator for loadshedding.

The room was filthy. The windows and sliding door were filthy, Towels were not changed, we stayed there for 3nights using the same towels. Sliding door was broken making it easy for bugs to come inside the room. Bedding was dirty and not changed for 3days. Roof was falling apart. Bar fridge area was infested with roaches. No remote control to switch on and off the TV. Curtains we're torn and very filthy. Outside chairs were infested with bees. 1 insect/bug repellent is not enough for people staying for more than one night.

The fact that the different entity checked on us as if we were their customers

Sea Star stuff members don't really care about their customers, to them it's just business and that's it,the room was not clean, the building is not maintained, you book they give you a room with broken door latches

The staff from secutirty to the restaurant were warm, welcoming and interested. The place provides time for refreshing. There is privacy. The game drive was worth 3 hours

The density of the bushes at night. Having done the afternoon gamedrive which ended late in the evening,we had to drive by ourselves to the accommodation. A recommendation that guests be collected at their accommodation for the afternoon drive.

DB box had items switched off which led to having no hot water and plugs not working. Had to find the DB myself and switch everything on.

The location, staff and natural surroundings.

Aircon did not work.. the patio door was broken or cracked. No generator for load shedding so we’re in the dark.. the restaurant food was awful especially for the price. If you are cutting cost atleast have All Gold tomato sauce in the actual bottle not something else because we can taste the difference . Food didn’t taste taste fresh. The staff is friendly . I would come for the game drive drive otherwise but not an overnight stay.

The nature and the open space it had would go again

It didn't have shower gel,they only offered one soap and lotion and the towels are old

The environment was refreshing and quiet. We got the break we needed.
