Beds were comfortable and my room had a great sea view.
For a 5* hotel, I was truly disappointed! Daily cleaning of rooms were terrible. Beds poorly made, no sheets were changed daily! Stains on sheets and pillow cases. Had a coffee maker in the room which didn’t work at all. Hotel has really bad communication. It’s extremely frustrating to communicate with staff. Simple communication would take 20 minutes just to get your message across. You pay for all extras, even something as simple as the kayaks. Other 5* hotels don’t charge for this. The food is horrible! Truly! For the price you pay, you would expect A LOT BETTER! Attitude from the staff is truly disgusting- especially the Islander restaurant management. In my day of checkout I requested that my breakfast be in a takeaway as we were checking out really early in the morning. After 20 minutes of arguing with them, they finally allowed me to pack some food, but refused to allow my partner to do the same. The reason was because I had packed my own food. Even though I paid for it. This was an exception as it was checkout, and they wouldn’t even make an allowance and made you feel like you’re stealing food, even though it’s been fully paid for! The hotel is quite far from shopping and other eating and entertainment. That being said, the only complimentary shuttle they offer is to the airport, and it’s always fully booked, so this doesn’t even count. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much better options out there. Definitely not worth the price you pay!
