This 1330 sq foot condo plus 250 sq foot deck includes a gas barbecue and comfortable seating for outdoor dining. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed located on the main level with a separate bathroom that includes a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen and living area offer an open floor plan to maximize your enjoyment of the gorgeous views. The comfortable living area centers around a rock gas fireplace. While you appear to be isolated in the wilderness at the Chickadee Chalet in the heart of Bigfork you are just one block from downtown shops, galleries, fine restaurants, live music and dancing. The Bigfork Summer Playhouse has live theater and professional productions that change throughout the summer with none of the hustle-bustle of a large city. Downtown Bigfork is also the center of all outdoor activities including fishing or sightseeing charters, bike rentals, kayak, canoe and paddle board, ski boats and jet ski rentals. This is a beautiful property. Well stocked, clean and comfortable condo in an amazing setting. The river views are breathtaking and the convenience to the village of Bigfork is perfect. Love this place and hope to be back soon.

Great place to stay. However the cancellation policy is very unreasonable and we will not be staying there again because of it. There are other properties in the same building that do not have a no cancellation policy.

A couple of things:
There was no designated parking spot for the condo.
Of all the places we have rented, this was the only place that did not return damage deposit.
It was beautiful to sit on the deck and listen to the water. Condo was very well stocked.

We had a little trouble checking in but we’re still able to contact someone at 11:00PM. The property was very well stocked. It was very clean except for a few of the kitchen cabinets and some dishes. It’s a perfect setting in downtown Big Fork with walking distance to a beautiful trail along the river. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little town
Enjoyed our stay walking distance to the town. Really enjoyed the back patio overlooking the river which was running at the time due to rains in the previous week. We saw two Shows at the playhouse that we really enjoyed. Only recommendation is for additional towels they only had 4 for 4 people for the 4 nights. Another set per person would be nice so not to have to worry with washing them ourselves.

We had a perfect long weekend at the chickadee! The location is so relaxing with the fabulous view of the river. The adorable town is just around the corner with great shopping. We also enjoyed the park just over the bridge, it even had live music. We will definitely stay here again!

As a family with young children we are generally early to bed and early to rise, and unfortunately for us the property is across from a bar in "downtown" Bigfork. Whether just the summer season and/or weekend nights we stayed, there is loud, live music at the bar from 10:00p until about 1-1:30a, which you can easily hear since the bedrooms are at the front of the condo, closest to the bar. We were surprised (and disappointed) to learn there is no noise ordinance for the town. So if you stay up late anyways (it cannot be heard much if you are out on the back deck) and/or like going out for live music then this may be the place for you.

This rental property was absolutely beautiful! It was so much more than we had expected. We enjoyed being in town and were able to walk to many of the area restaurants/shops. Our evenings were spent on the patio enjoying the sound of the river. We will be visiting Bigfork again in the future and hope to book this beautiful property!

Family wedding in Big Fork
First time to Bigfork and what a gorgeous spot! Had everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable and homey and you can’t beat the location! The sound of the river and taittibgnon that deck on a warm fall day was the icing in the cake. They even accommodated our early arrival - We will definately be back.

I could live there!!!!!
We have rented many VRBO properties and have generally found them to be very nice. This topped all of them by far! It is a beautiful place with a fantastic view. It is appointed perfectly and everything is there that you could want--even a full drawer of herbs and spices. Stay Montana was very communicative and welcoming from the beginning. This was the first time we experienced the electronic check in/out process. It was nice to have them say Good Morning etc to us! We can't say enough good things about this place!!!! We actually drove around to find the "historic downtown" and laughed when we learned it was right behind our condo! Thanks so much for a wonderful relaxing experience.

Fabulous location and amenities
After an initial glitch upon arrival, and having to get the place cleaned, we settled in to an amazing week. Great communication with the management team. Condo has everything you need to make for a comfortable and amazing stay in beautiful Bigfork. Wonderful comfortable deck overlooking the Swan river. The location is perfect for walks a long the river, the fabulous theater, restaurants, and only about 45 minutes to Glacier National Park. The bar across the street is a bit noisy on weekends, but did not really bother us too much. Would highly recommend this Condo for your time in Bigfork.

Out of town, in town
This unique, well cared for property lets you be in the thick of things in the small, quaint but modern town of Bigfork while also being on the edge of town. As the pictures indicate, the condo is on the second floor of a small office complex (think law offices), and the entrance fronts the town. Once you are inside, the well built condo is quiet, shutting out most of the town/street noise, and the main view is out the huge back windows and from the deck where the Swan River roars. There's no access to the River, just lush, wild country to look at while you drink morning coffee or evening cocktails. Great air conditioning unit, much needed with sun streaming in summer. Be advised that live music plays from the nearby (very fun) bar into the wee hours and you definitely can hear it throughout the unit. Noise cancelling headphones worked for me.

We rented this unit as well as 2 others for a family event. Beautiful condo and so well appointed. Our son and his family were very comfortable here. They were close enough to everyone for the visit yet had a retreat for the small kids to get their down time. Worked out so well - everyone was thrilled with their accommodations.

This condo is the perfect place to stay in Bigfork to relax in luxurious comfort. Not only very well appointed but an ideal location to walk to restaurants and shops (great coffee shop right across the street!) and a stroll on the trail along the river.

Bright and private retreat in Bigfork
The property is perfect for families meeting to enjoy the lake and outdoors. Well appointed kitchen for cooking shared meals, comfortable furnishings and beds, and very responsive host for those last minute questions. It is a perfect location to use as a base for Glacier NP and Flathead Lake, and just a block from the main street for the charming village of Bigfork. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great spot - steps away from everything!
Perfectly comfortable condo with a wonderful deck overlooking the river. All of Bigfork (at least the main tourist area) including shops, cafes, and restaurants are literally within 100 yards of this location.

What a view
This condo has a breathtaking view from the balcony. Rapids just a few hundred feet away. The condo was very clean and the bed was comfortable. All appliances worked well and there were a lot of seasonings available if you want to cook. The only thing I can even say that was a little bit off was that many of the foods in the pantry (creamer, peanut butter etc) were expired. The pantry needs to be cleaned out. I would highly recommend this rental. Denise, the rental agent was always available and she was a pleasure to work with.

The sound of the Swan River
This was an unexpectedly beautiful property with a spacious deck overlooking the Swan River. Everything was spotless and just like new, the kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable. The location was just steps away from downtown and a few blocks from the Swan River Trail. On the river side, all you heard was the sound of the water rushing over rocks, the street side was quiet and private after about 11 pm. Prior to that, you had some people walking right by one bedroom window plus a little music and party sounds from the back of the Garden Bar across the street. Not bad at all, but we were not there on a weekend, which other guest have mentioned can get a little rowdy. All in all, we would definitely stay again!

Great location and comfort
We really enjoyed the condo’s proximity to downtown Bigfork and Glacier National Park. Traveling with two couples, it was very nice to have our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to prepare a lot of meals for ourselves. The music from the Garden Bar was noticeable but it never bothered us or prevented us from sleeping. The rushing waters of the creek off the balcony helped drown the bar noise out. We would definitely rent this place again!

Perfect Combination of Charm and Convenience
The Chickadee Chalet is ideally located - with tremendous views of the Swan River off the back deck and a block or two from restaurants, shops, live music and Fieldheads coffee out the front door. The condo was comfortable and inviting. We hope we have the ability to return here in the future. Denise was a joy to work with. We highly recommend this condo and this town!
