Friendly and helpful staff/owner, with good communication when I had a problem with the hob. The rooms, bathroom and shared kitchen were clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and the location was central and only a short walk from the beach. I particularly enjoyed the small sea-view terrace in the evenings. The late check-out was also much appreciated, and the large lockers (keys provided) and clothes hangers were useful. Reception is only staffed until 1pm, with self-check-in afterwards.
There are a few drawbacks and unusual practices compared to other hostels - mainly linked with the kitchen. There are only two hobs (vertically), so realistically only one person can cook at a time. Cooking is normally not allowed before 6pm, which is particularly challenging for anyone who relies on self-catering due to dietary restrictions and has no option to eat out at restaurants in the area! Thankfully, an exception was made during my stay due to low occupancy, but I would only consider staying here again if the same exception could be made. For those with no dietary restrictions, breakfast is served quite late (9:15–10:00). Also, there is limited fridge and cupboard space because most of the kitchen storage is used for breakfast supplies.

The location is great and the room was clean and tidy
If you stay in room 1, just mind it’s close to the reception, the corridor everyone takes, the stairs are above the bed and the window has no daylight and looks out to the communal kitchen. Not great.
