Came here to do some work for a few days. Really not a bad stay, I got a large room and it was comfortable and clean. The bed was cozy and the AC worked well. The 20 minute or so stroll into the heart of Christchurch will do you good. I did not partake of the breakfast but it was offered and there was plenty of tea, a hot water kettle, and utensils on offer. The location is a bit north of the center of town, so could be described as out of the way, this might be a perk.
The staff was friendly and produced an accurate invoice for work when I checked out.
If the Wifi were faster I could see myself staying here again.
The curtains were all or nothing - they either block out all the light or have no privacy. Would have preferred a privacy screen that splits the difference.
The shower is puny and a good deal of it is taken up with fixtures.
I would have liked a bath mat or two but towels worked in a pinch.
No elevator to the second level, this didn't bother me but be aware.
Crucially, the wifi was quite slow, or limited at least. It was stable, however.
Housecleaning ignored the 'do not disturb' notice on my door and woke me up, only once though.

Was such a nice old time hotel feel while having all mod cons. The lady on the front desk was absolutely lovely and I felt very welcomed and was given directions and recommendations for the city. The bed was unreal. I had one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend The Salisbury
