About this condo rental
Nestled in Waitsfield, this attractive condo for $158 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Gather around the fire pit and stargaze with toasted marshmallows, then cozy up on the cozy sectional in front of a movie. Warm hardwood floors combine with chunky wooden furniture, historic beams, and elegant sash windows at this period retreat. This second floor apartment of a two unit 1830 farmhouse can be rented on its own or with the downstairs unit. Booked as just the second floor, it is completely secluded with its own private entrance. ALL NEW cozy, designer decorated, original VT farmhouse entire 2ND FL. apartment. King bed that can be split into twins and a queen bed. Plus small double size fold out sofa. Full kitchen, living room and bathroom. 3 acres, swimming hole, wifi, cable, TV, laundry. Very easy to get to towns and skiing. IMPORTANT NOTE: A/C window unit in kitchen living area only. MOST places in the area (except the main resort) DO NOT have A/C. It seldom gets past low 80s usually in the 70s and there is a wonderful breeze. There are free standing fans if needed as well. No shared space except yard and driveway. 3 acres, swimming hole, wifi, cable, TV, fire pit, charcoal grill, laundry. Very easy to get to towns and skiing. * We live in NYC, but have caretakers up there for any in person issues The property sits in 3 acres right off route 100. Amazing restaurants in Waitsfield and Warren are within easy reach, with Blueberry Lake and Ole cross country and snow shoe trails nearby and a private swimming hole in the valley behind the house. PET RULES - Please read prior to booking 🙏🏽 We are happy to welcome guest’s pets who are behaved and don’t shed. There is a $150 additional fee per pet (per week, for longer stays), and the following rules must be strictly adhered to. 1. The pets cannot be left alone in the apartment unless secured (locked) in their kennel (cage) 2. The pet is under no circumstances allowed on any of the furniture, including beds 3. We reserve the right to keep the security deposit if we find out or if it is evident that our rules were not respected 4. Please bring your own hair removal tool, lint roller, etc, and maintain the cleanliness of our home Due to my allergies, we have to unfortunately be rather strict with the rules, but weve had great guests who are very understanding and respectful, which enables us to continue to allow pets. Thank you for understanding and please reach out with any questions 💕 We LOVE our VT retreat and hope you do to! Please treat it with love and respect. All we ask is you strip the sheets before leaving, lock all windows and the door and make sure the lights are off. We came up to ski for the weekend and the accommodations were perfect. Close the mountain and lots of restaurants around for dinner. Great for families. Nice to have two bedrooms and a common area. Kitchen had what we needed to make breakfast in the morning. Hosts provided coffee and tea for guests.
Looking forward to coming back again. Thank you for sharing your place with our family.

We stayed here for one evening after skiing at Sugarbush and it was absolutely delightful. The upstairs unit, had everything we needed for our short stay; very clean, warm, and cozy. Only a 5-10 minute drive from Sugarbush and many restaurants. Next year we will definitely be staying here again! Thank you so much!!

We had a great time at the farmhouse. It looked just like the pictures in space and amenities. Too bad it was too cold to enjoy the water in the back!
I emailed the owner about an issue with what sounded like a well pump when the bathroom sink began to drip, but didn’t hear back. The road noise in the master from 100 is pretty loud, but the owners have a noisemaker which helped.
We enjoyed our stay and would like to return!

This property was beautiful! Great “backyard” view. Location was super convenient for us, although being right on Hwy 100 was a little noisy but a window unit in the bedroom allowed us to sleep without problems. It was very nicely appointed with everything we needed.

The house is decorated with a stylish farmhouse look. Everything is really new and clean. The property is quiet and backs up to the river. My wife loved the towels and other design choices. Our family enjoyed staying in Vermont and hiking the nearby trails.

We chose this rental for its proximity to a wedding venue on Lareau Rd. The rental is clean and well decorated on a little hill just feet feet from Rt 100. The location made the drive to the wedding simple...but also created a lot of traffic noise in the rental unit. Not the quiet Vermont town, but a busy road with a lot of noise.
The stairs to the second floor were steep, the treads narrow and no hand rail. This wasn't a problem for us, but I am surprised it meets "code"
The kitchen lacked a few simple items (liquid measuring cup, griddle, spatula) that forced us to pivot a bit
The single, window A/C unit in the kitchen did not provide enough cooling to keep the bedrooms cool. One of the fans provided in the bedrooms did not work.
We did enjoy our trip to Vermont. The VRBO was not a disaster, but certainly could have been better

We really enjoyed this property! Great location, well maintained, comfortable and cozy.
Excellent option for traveling with friends - we had the upstairs apartment, and friends of ours had the downstairs apartment, which was perfect for COVID friendly traveling with friends.
