About this house rental
Located in Lake Martin, this lovely house for $507 per night is a great choice for your next break. If you love that lake house feel with a phenomenal view and close proximity to all of your favorite Lake Martin attractions, this is your home for the week! When reviewing other properties, keep in mind that our home is in a cove facing southeast on deep water. This means no baking sun in the morning or evening and considerably less boat traffic (these differentiators are rare and significantly improve the quality of your stay). We’re also less than 40 minutes from Auburn, making this location perfect for your football weekend getaway. Our house is protected from the main channel’s massive choppy water by the Silver Hill peninsula. This 3BR / 2.5 BA has everything you need to relax comfortably and enjoy family and friends. You will enjoy the large porch and stone fire pit, both with a great views of the Lake. The covered boat dock offers lots of space for play. This cozy rental is only minutes from Chimney Rock, Chuck's Marina and Stillwaters Golf Club. The Union boat ramp is only a mile away! Centrally located, you will enjoy boat rides daily to multiple different beaches, Goat Island and all of the Marinas on the Lake. Your private boat dock has an electronic boat lift and multiple spaces for docking other boats. The ground floor has the master bedroom, master bath and a 1/2 bath. Also, on the ground floor you will be able to sleep 2 in the fold out sectional. Two bedrooms upstairs both having a queen bed plus a twin XL over queen bunk bed. The upstairs full bath is centrally located for convenient use from both bedrooms. The best view inside the house is from the loft area where you have a sofa and another fold out couch. The property is located on the Southeast side of Lake Martin with easy access to I-85. Facilities at a glance: * Sleeps: 16 but we ask that no more than 10 guests be on the property at one time. * Bedrooms: 3 * Bathrooms: 2 1/2 * Fully equipped kitchen * King beds: 1 in the master * Queen beds: 4 * Twin XS beds: 2 * Fold out couches that sleep 2 each: 2 Rental Amenities: * washer/dryer * dishwasher * Smart TVs with access to cable and Netflix / streaming * Wood burning fireplace * bed linens and bath towels * kitchenware / blender / coffee maker * outdoor dining * boat lift * central AC with controls on each level * large covered porch on 2 sides of the house, one facing the lake * charcoal and gas grills. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Please refill propane tanks prior to checkout. * several dock chairs so your entire crew can relax by the water * 2 full size kayaks and 1 full size paddle board - Life jackets (not provided) required and adults only * If you’d like to rent a boat there are multiple places on the lake with boat rentals available. The closest to the house are Harbour Point (256-825-0600), Blue Creek (256-825-8888), The Ridge Marina (256-633-5673), and Anchor Bay (334-857-2654) *Our personal favorite is the 250 engine tri-toon from Jordan Pontoon Rentals (256) 794-3567 or (256) 794-3566 as they’re easiest to work with, deliver near to us and have a newer boat with everything you need to have fun. Rental rates (subject to change): * $350/night for the majority of the year * $550/night around major holidays (see calendar for details) * $450/night for the rest of the summer when school is out * $350/night for Auburn football weekends (2 night minimum) * $300 cleaning fee (additional fee applied if you leave the home messy) * No pets * No smoking * No parking on the street * 100% of the total fee due upon booking. VRBO holds all funds until check-in day. 100% refundable up to 60 days from check-in. 30-60 days from check-in, 50% refundable. Inside 30 days, no refund. * This property will be professionally cleaned and disinfected after every guest so you have no health worries as you arrive. * Disclosure: There are 3 security cameras monitoring the exterior of the home 24x7. One covers the main entrances, one covers the dock and one covers the driveway. Please contact owners for details and/ or questions. * There are no interior cameras or monitoring devices in the home.

We had an awesome stay at this property. The landscaping and layout made it feel surprisingly secluded. The view was amazing. Everything in the home was clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and even sent a text after we checked in to make everything was good. The water in the lake was low due to seasonal water-level management, but there were still a few fishing boats out and we had a great time with kayaks. The 50(!) steps down to the dock were all well-maintained. We also really enjoyed enjoyed the stone patio and fire pit. Jordan-Hare was an easy 35-minute drive away, so this house was perfect for our weekend.

We had an exceptional experience with this rental. The property was as described, very clean, and everything ready for guests upon arrival. The check-in process and instructions were very easy. We experienced very good communication with the owner throughout the entire process; very simply, if you have a question - ask it and you will likely have a response very quickly. All the listed ammenities were available and worked great for us. We spent lots of time on the back deck taking in the great view across the lake. The dock and stairs from the house are in great condition - the owner has clearly done a nice job keeping them in good shape, so no loose boards or hazards for bare feet.
Basically - everything worked great for us and we had a very good experience. We would definitely rent this property again next summer when we return to Lake Martin. Three of our guests also own properties on Lake Martin, and all commented on what a great property this was.

Nice home would prefer a later checkout and bedding for the fold outs. Toaster and kitchen pots and pans could use updating.

This house was perfect for us! We LOVED it! The fire pit was awesome and the porch swing to die for! We didn't want to leave! Lots of steps to get down to the lake so be aware of that if you have anyone that is mobility challenged. Highly recommend this house! And the hosts are VERY responsive & great to work with!

Beautiful View Great Location
The house is everything is it represented as, views from the back porch are amazing, house is clean and well stocked with supplies. Great covered boat dock if you have a boat. Enough room for another boat to dock as well. Floating dock and lake toys like kayaks and SUP were a big hit! Communication with owners is very good. Only drawback is lots of stairs for elderly folks, but the stairs and rails are in great shape with resting spots along the way. Overall great place to stay, highly recommended!

Best Place Yet!
We stay at Lake Martin every year for a summer trip. Our usual VRBO was being renovated and we had to find another location. This home more than exceeded all of our expectations and we will now try and book this location from now on. It has plenty of sleeping space, room for both of our large trailers in the driveway. A lot of safe mooring space for our four SeaDoo’s and 30’ boat. The home is on the back side of a peninsula so there is minimal wake as well. Host was super nice and very accommodating.

Perfect Lake Martin Home
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake home. The house was clean and comfortable. The exterior of the home is fantastic with multiple outdoor spaces available to enjoy the scenery and the lake. The wharf and boat lift are ideal for the fishermen. The owner was exceptional to deal with, tending to all of our needs, and answering any questions, yet giving us plenty of privacy. I hope we are able to visit again next year.

Perfect Place for an Extended Weekend
10/10 recommend this place. The owners were helpful with any questions we had. The pictures do not do the view justice. I don’t leave reviews unless they’re positive and I would rate this every day if I could. this place is perfect. We had 15 girls and everyone had nothing but great things to say about the house.
