Alykanas Beach Grand Hotel by Zante Plaza

The location is great, paces away from the beach with gorgeous views and just a short walk from all the bars and restaurants if you fancy venturing out. Staff are very friendly, rooms and outdoor areas are very clean and kept to a high standard, and the quality of food and drink on offer is great. We are returning next year with family and have a relative in a wheelchair - so it was great to see that ramp access is available to main areas, including the reception, restaurant and beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return - if you want a relaxing stay with things to do just moments away - this is the hotel for you!

The food area is quite small, meaning peak times for mealtimes can get very busy - it would be better if this was moved to a bigger area. The quality of food is great, but it is often lukewarm or cold - potentially may need some new ways to keep food warm? Also, it would be great to make sure all food is labelled. That being said, it was delicious and there was a good variety. It would also be great to have better advertisement of the kids club and mini discos - although we were only travelling as a couple, we are returning to stay next year with more family (including little ones) and I know they would be interested in these facilities. I would also say it would be better to move the evening entertainment to an area with more space - it's currently in the pool and bar area - which again, is quite small.

In the evening, the Wi-Fi should be better. Same for the blankets and sheets.

The cleanliness and the food.

Some clients made noise after 11pm and we couldn't sleep one night. Someone should keep checking that rules are not broken.

The staff was nice, in particular the barwoman, the cleaning lady and the person at the baby club. The room was clean.

The common areas were veru dirty, I remember someone dropped an ice cream poolside at 10 am and it was still there at 7pm. We found a broken fork on the beach. The. Children's pool was unsafe and the area poolside was very slippery. There was a hole in the floor where I hurt my foot. It definitely wasn't a 4 star hotel. The people were also quite rude.
