Charming, small and stylish property in the centre of a pretty and understated town. Gorgeous roof terrace is the perfect place for the most delicious breakfast each morning. The owner was delightful and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Matino is an excellent base for all the Baroque towns and coast of Puglia. Fabulous foodie restaurants nearby.

Beautiful restoration, very comfortable, authentic but modern, personal touches, artwork, incredible breakfasts on a picturesque roof, gracious and friendly hosts, near to a lot of beaches and little towns and cities, an authentic experience of the area, amazing restaurants in walking distance, the culture and attitude towards life in the region (appreciation of friends, family, food, beauty, and a savoring of time) - an outstanding experience.
We had the perfect stay.

Fantastic renovation of the property. We loved breakfast and sunset drinks on the terrace. The owners are wonderful hosts. Helped us plan our day and made recommendations and bookings for us. Located in a quiet village, close to great beaches and all the major attractions of Salento.

A beautifully decorated townhouse in the middle of a pretty town, perfect for touring the local areas of Salento. Only 20 mins from Gallipoli and the beaches of the Ionian Sea, Palais Gentile is run by a fantastic young couple who seem to be part of a new wave of hospitality in this area…we ate at an incredible restaurant next door called Foscolo. You must not miss a sundowner on the roof terrace…..
