The house and location was excellent. The garden was brilliant for my disabled dog. The street it was located on was lovely and very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom and kitchen were both very nice and had everything you could ask for, a real home from home. Within walking distance of York via 2 routes. We chose the river walk which was gorgeous. The furniture was good with everything you could ask for.
That there was a huge cleaning fee but the bedrooms were not clean with quite thick layers of dust on the headboards, furniture, drawers, lamps etc. £50 is a lot of money, the windows were not clean, the rear garden although excellent was in a poor state right outside the double doors with the wood rotten.
The privets outside the front door were slightly overwhelming and prevented appropriate parking of the car and easy access to the house
A 4pm check in is very, very late, especially if the reason was for cleaning and a 10am check out is also very, very early.
We felt a 2pm check in is reasonable with an 11am check out as not a lot of cleaning was done for our arrival. .

Clean spacious house.
Quiet area.
Could walk into York, either on main road or the side of the river.
No extractor in the bathroom.
Extractor in the kitchen didn't work.
There was an iron burn mark on the carpet near the bed in the back bedroom. Reported this that it was there when we arrived. Needs a rug to cover it up as was sharp on your feet if you walked in it.

The Road was very quiet, nice comfy beds
I feel the property management people and the owners go and spend a visit to the house and walk through the house and look at the furniture, the decor, the attention to detail and items in the house to accommodate the stay.
This is a nice house in a nice area but I feel this house currently lacks any warmth or care.
