Nestled in Jim Thorpe, this attractive house for $325 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy this clean, private, modern log home on 11 wooded acres, @3 miles from the center of the town of Jim Thorpe, the final resting place of James Francis Thorpe, perhaps the greatest athlete of the 20th century. The Cabin on Dew Drop Drive comfortably sleeps up to 8 people, but with enough space both inside and out so everyone can find the privacy they desire! Relax on the leather couches by the remote-controlled gas fireplace, or lounge on the sunny front porch while keeping an eye out for hummingbirds, turkeys, deer and the occasional fox or bear. Enjoy s'mores around the fire pit, and hike the woods in season to forage for wild huckleberries and blueberries. Send the kids out to play in the "tree house" (a mere 6 feet off the ground). You'll stay just a couple miles away from the Jim Thorpe Memorial, and you'll have easy access to the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, white water rafting on the Lehigh River, bicycling and hiking in Glen Onoko State Park, swimming and fishing in nearby Mauch Chunk and Beltzville Lakes, ski resorts (Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Blue Mountain and Camelback), historic sites, art galleries, concert venues, wineries, restaurants, bars and shopping. And at the end of the day, retire to the Dew Drop Inn, our Irish-style pub downstairs! All linens and towels are provided, and you'll have access to plenty of puzzles, toys, art supplies, card and board games, a diverse selection of movies on DVD, and even a bit of exercise equipment. The kitchen and laundry room are fully equipped for your use, and WiFi is free.

The cabin was very clean and nice.

So much to say about this property! It is absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. The house is spacious, cozy and quaintly decorated. You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in the property and they thought of a lot of little details to make the stay comfortable. The were quick with communication and left detailed yet simple instructions for the stay. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The downstairs was so fun, like a night out without having to leave the home. We would absolutely love to stay again!

Wayne is amazing and very responsive. The property was very clean and well kept. The family put a lot of time and effort into decorating this property and keeping it up very well. We were here second week of November 2023 and it was great. Leaves were still changing and beautiful colors to be seen.
This home is wonderful and it was great to witness so many other people being kind and decent towards the decorations and other honorary in kind items in the home.
We will be going back again! Also if you are vegan, vegetarian or aware of the products you use (toxins bleh) this home is well supplied with Dr.Bonners and a lot of the items we like to use to keep the harsh chemicals of the world out of our bodies. A small item that was noticed and greatly appreciated.

From the moment our family walk through the front door we felt at home. Everything was neat and organized. The cabin and surrounding grounds made you feel like you didn’t wanna leave. Hope we get a chance to rent again.

This house was beautiful and very clean. The host was very informative about the house and visiting the town of Jim Thorpe. I just wish I spent more time there. Wayne was a great host and can't wait to book this home again

Absolutely loved this house! The pub is such a nice feature and even when the power went out, we still had the ability to play some chess in the candle light which ended up being quite nice.

We loved this place. We came with 2 families with 3 children between us. The place is spacious with scenic grounds. The outer porch is perfect for relaxing and watching the view, and you're just 10 minutes from downtown Jim Thorpe as well as some beautiful state parks.
The real gem here is the dew drop inn in the basement. We were blown away with the attention to detail and atmosphere of the irish pub in the basement - didn't need to leave the house to enjoy a night cap in an authentic irish pub.

Myself and 5 of my friends stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. The cabin’s location was perfect. You felt secluded but were just a short drive from all the fun stuff at Jim Thorpe. Wayne was super helpful with giving us suggestions of things to do in the area. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My five highs school friends and I have been getting together for the past 17 years every May, visiting different locations such as Cape May, Cape Cod, National Harbor, Rehoboth Beach, the Hamptons and Lake George and this is the first year that all six of us have said that this is the place that we can come back to every year in the future. This log cabin home has it all and leaves you feeling like you have been wrapped in a warm hug. It is immaculately clean, meticulously decorated and no detail has been overlooked. A short drive from Jim Thorpe for shopping and dining, this cabin provided the best atmosphere to wake up to and to return to at the end of the day. And the pub! We spent our Saturday night in the pub having appetizers, drinks and playing darts and dancing. Other bonuses we enjoyed were the walking paths on the property, the zip line, the firepit and the front porch. It is a beautiful home and the photos don't even do it justice. Thanks, Wayne! We will be back next year!

This cabin is gorgeous. Very clean! Private. Peaceful. Love sipping my coffee on the deck listening to the wind blow and birds sing. Great amenities. Wonderful hosts. Comfortable beds. Plenty of bathrooms. Enjoyed doing a puzzle to the sun shining in the large windows. So relaxing and close to stores and town if you need supplies or like to take a good hike. Hosts are very easy to communicate with.

Owners of the property were always quick to get back to any emails or questions. Property was lovely and very well kept. The cabin offers a lot, especially in ways of amenities and things to do. My kids and I rented this cabin for a week. We have stayed in the same neighborhood in years past and love the location. The house is a beautiful place and just as promised in the listing. The host is excellent and extremely responsive. I cannot think of a single negative. Future renters - please respect the host’s “rules”. They are very reasonable and easy to follow and will help insure this property remains available!

Great cabin, location, and bar
Came with a slightly larger group of 8 which the owner accommodated without any issue. Temperatures outside that weekend neared 90 but the window AC units kept everything cool inside. Bar is very authentic and sets this place apart and was the driving reason we selected this propety, but the other aspects of this cabin did not disappoint! Also, the owner is very organized and provides in advance just about anything you would need to know about the house or area to have a wonderful stay. For how much house you're getting, the rate is very reasonable too.

My children loved walking in the woods and playing on the treehouse. We took family bike rides along the D&R trail, and enjoyed exploring downtown Jim Thorpe. Everything about it is perfect - the bar, quaint tv room, outdoor space, etc. A quick drive brings you right into Jim Thorpe for dining, site seeing etc. I want to build a bar just like this one in my house! The pictures really don’t do it justice, this cabin is immaculate! Everything about it is perfect - the bar, quaint tv room, outdoor space, etc. A quick drive brings you right into Jim Thorpe for dining, site seeing etc. I want to build a bar just like this one in my house! Breathtaking beautiful
Absolutely gorgeous cabin. So relaxing. Porch was amazing. Basement made me feel like I was back in Ireland. Awesome amenities. Could have spent the whole time checking out the many beautiful things that decorated this cabin. Conveniently close to town and any stores you needed to pick up items.perfect!

Girls weekend 2022
What a great place to stay! The house was incredibly clean and labeled so that you could easily find things. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having our own pub especially when the snow forced us to stay inside. The owners are kind and helpful, I can’t wait to book another weekend there!

A Special Place
Okay so if old downtown Jim Thorpe isn't one of the coolest places in the Poconos I don't know what is. The quaint charm of the non-chain shops and pubs and restaurants is a big draw for me. Plus, you have the scenic vistas, climbing, walking, rafting, and, for my family, skiing. So on top of all that here is this cabin in the woods. The photos don't do it justice. It's immaculate, well decorated, and a fun house for a family that likes to be together. And if that's not enough, then you go into the basement... and when you see the pictures of a FULL IRISH PUB that is NO JOKE. There is a FULL IRISH PUB IN THE BASEMENT!! As a huge fan of pubs and longtime traveler to the UK/Ireland, spending time listening to Irish music, playing darts, and making drinks at the end of the day was a special treat. If this is your thing, you won't be disappointed. Definitely coming back to this house next year. Maybe it'll become an annual event!

Overall very nice house. We would have liked if the driveway was plowed as it was a sheet of ice and 2 of us fell bruising ourselves and 1 of us could not get her car up the driveway and ended up getting it stuck. Will visit in the spring next time.

Relaxing getaway
Enjoyed our second visit to the log cabin and plan to come back! Beautiful home, easy to feel at home and relax, and the basement was fun for all. Easy drive to skiing for the day. Our only trouble was ice on the roads in the neighborhood as we were leaving, so be prepared for winter weather conditions!
