About this house rental
Situated in Oak Island, this attractive house for $300 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The perfect location in Oak Island with lots of space for all! This home has a great layout that offers lots of flexibility. and so much natural light, you will know you are at the beach. The extra large deck, screened in porch, and backyard with firepit and hammocks give you many of options to enjoy the outdoors. This home offers four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped so you can enjoy cooking and making memories with newer generations. This beautiful home is a short walk from the beach, middleton park which has a playground and splash pad for the kids, basketball and tennis courts, an off leash park for the dogs, weekly farmer's market, and also festivals, movie nights, and concert throughout the season. Also very close by is the nature park, intercoastal waterway, public dock access for boat and kayaks, several restaurants, ice cream shop, donut shops, coffee house, gift shop, Publix supermarket, ABC store. While we mostly walk when we are here, you can rent a golf cart just 3 blocks away, or even have one delivered. You can also rent bikes and e-bikes on the island as well. This home is has four large bedrooms. all bedrooms have Smart TV OR a Roku equipped TV to access your own favorite shows: BR #1- 1 King bed, upstairs, direct access to bathroom BR# 2- 2 Queen beds, downstairs- direct access to bathroom and direct access to screened in porch BR #3- 2 Queen beds, downstairs, direct access to private bathroom BR #4- 1 Full and 1 Twin bed, upstairs. Full size desk. The kitchen is fully stocked, with blender, hand mixer, slow cooker, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a keurig duo coffee machine so you can make one serving or one pot. The kitchen also has dine-in area for 4. In the open floorplan living room you will find board games and a smart TV to keep everyone entertained. An extra large, super comfy couch, chairs, stools, and puff cushions for everyone to gather. The dining room sits up to 8 people, there are extra chairs in the closet. Screened in porch with rocking chairs and couch Deck with chairs, rocking chairs, and picnic tables. Firepit, hammocks create a chill area in the backyard Linens are provided by a third party company and are delivered individually wrapped in plastic. This means the beds will not be made. You should bring your own beach towels. In your welcome bag you will have toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, some dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, and few more goodies. You should bring your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap) For the dogs we provide multiple gates, food/water bowls, blankets to cover the furniture, and a crate. Please note for everyone’s safety, we have installed exterior only cameras at the deck/driveway and door. Linens are provided by a third party and will arrive individually wrapped for sanitary reasons, beds will not be made. Oak Island has so much to offer! the lighthouse is one of the few in NC, 2 piers, pier fishing, rentals for water activities such as paddle boarding, kayak rentals or kayak tours. If you are here for more than a few days, a trip to Southport is a must! and a trip to Bald Head Island via the ferry is well worth it! You'll love it!

Wonderful home in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything needed. The grass could have used a trim, but once inside it was quickly forgotten, because this home is spotless! By far the cleanest I have ever stayed in. I especially enjoyed the screened in porch. Thank you Evelyn!

Location: walk to beach, restaurants, grocery and more. Get rental bicycles delivered if you want, or walk to a place that rents golf carts. Quiet street in nice neighborhood.
House: Comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering places, roomy bedrooms, 3 full baths, nice kitchen with eating area plus dining room, screened porch. Pleasant, comfortable, homey.
Host: Evelyn is great! Outstanding communication and really cares about her property and her guests. We had two minor issues during the week and she responded instantly -- I mean right away! -- with solutions.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The house was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The owner responded quickly to any questions. The location is great with the beach 3 blocks away and groceries, restaurants, ice cream, etc. all within a short walk. The public park and pier along the intercostal is at the end of the street. Hope to stay here next summer.

The house is lovely, with plenty of room and beautiful decor! The beds were very comfortable and the street was very quiet. The house and kitchen had everything we needed! We hope to stay again in October this year!

We had three families including three generations together for a birthday celebration. What a wonderful place to stay! Our hostess was in touch to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and in terrific shape. A great location to walk to the sound in one direction and to the beach in the other. I highly recommend this place when you have a lot of people. Large enough for everyone to have their own space but small enough to foster family togetherness.

My family visited Oak Island recently for the first time. I was in town to run the marathon. We had a party of 6, and I couldn’t have picked a better house to stay for the weekend. I also loved that she welcomed pets as we also brought our Golden Retriever Harley. The house was clean, comfortable, convenient, and cost effective. The house is an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, groceries, and to the start/finish of the race.. Evelyn was very responsive to our needs and offered both an early check in and late checkout.

This home was a great stay for us while vacationing on Oak Island. The home has had various updates and looks great. It has newer A/C units and they both work very well. Nicely decorated outdoor fire pit area, great location, and the host even let us use their beach gear! Perfect! It really only took us about 2 minutes to walk to the beach, plus you walk right by the pond where Ollie the REAL alligator lives on the way to the beach, so you can stop and say hi! Host is AMAZING and we will surely be back!!

Inner Child Gone Wild was a perfect house for our family vacation with 2 adult kids and a teen, along with 2 dogs. Plenty of space indoors, lovely deck and screened porch, and a quiet street that was somehow near everything we needed: easy beach access, groceries, restaurants, donut & ice cream shop, even a farmer's market. We would love to visit again!

Always a fantastic time
This was our second stay on this property. The house is very spacious and clean. Walking (short) distance to the beach. Tons of restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee shops, and grocery stores around. The property manager is super responsive and fantastic to work with. We always have a great time when we stay here.

We had trouble finding prepared food, it seems the island restaurants are overwhelmed. Crosswalks are needed getting across the street to the beach.

We loved the proximity to the beach and grocery store. We rented a golf cart and that was convenient to go to the beach and explore the neighborhood. There’s a cute park on the sound at the end of the street. Pier and nature trail. My children loved that. The house was lovely for a big family. The guest rooms were spacious.
