We love this cute cottage and this our second stay there. Everything is so cute and cozy. We had no problem sleeping 11 people and brought our families 2 pups along as it is dog friendly. There are so many lovely touches that make this place extra special from the awesome bikes available to ride through the area and the beautiful dishes and thinks like lots of coffee, dog treats and s'mores fixings that just put it over the top. I would 100% recommend.

My parents took our family of 6 plus the dog on a summer vacation to VBP , last 2 weeks of August , staying in 5 different cottages over a 7 year period, in the late 1960's thru the mid-1970's. This 5 day visit was my attempt to give my 5 kids (now 20-37) memories like I still have. It worked , this home was the perfect spot to stay and have an excellent vacation experience. Owners VERY resposive and accessible , they seemed to anticipate our every need during our stay. We would go back next year in a heartbeat !

Laid back vacation. Kids road bikes and scooters. Oldest grandchild is 8 and youngest 2. They loved being together. Totally equipped house. Family friendly house. All the linens and towels were good quality and clean.

We had a fabulous time here! We brought our kayaks for the calm water days. We enjoyed searching for sea glass on the beach, playing croquet, watching movies, playing board games, watching the sunset every night, grilling, and having smores at the fire pit. Lauren was an excellent host with great communication and made sure we had everything we needed. Literally EVERYTHING you need is provided: from bug spray to beach towels to deodorant/soap/shampoo/toothpaste to everything needed for smores. There was ice cold water in the fridge. There's plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed having coffee in the front sun room in the mornings and listening to the waves. Highly recommend this place and hope to visit again!

I greatly enjoyed this stay while visiting my Fredonia student. The cottage is in an a beautiful location and has so many nice little touches. Very comfortable beds and so much space for guests. The view and sound of the waves are simply wonderful.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a weekend with our parents after being socially distant. There were 8 of us, and a golden retriever. Everyone had their own room which was great, and the views, despite seeing them in the pictures, were unbelievable. The gentle sounds of the water were great, especially because we could hear if someone was stirring during the night. We were comfortable no matter where we were inside and out. Life is completely different when you’re that close to water, especially relaxing in a hammock! We cooked each day, comfortably, and the small appliances were fancier than the ones we had at home. We couldn’t figure out the Bunn coffee maker but the Keurig we knew. Her amenities were great, I just wish we knew more of them because we would have packed a little lighter. We (including the dog) walked the quaint streets, waved to friendly neighbors passing by, enjoyed the fire pit, walked into the cool water to find beach glass, and took a little shopping trip into Fredonia. When we left, we wished we had booked more time. What an AMAZING home to stay!!

GREAT location, a very sweet home--very clean, kind host, and a great trip for us. The house was spotless, each bed very comfortable, and the amenities were great. Fire pit--the best! Onsite grill/smoker was great, too, because we had a large family function (w/ others staying in the area), and this property handled the job flawlessly. Nice job, Lauren. We'd like to stay with you again here.

My daughters in laws & myself were constantly saying, "Did you see this cute or pretty touch" So many things we did not expect & felt blessed by. We would like to come back next year. This is our third time staying at this property. The first two times were great; property was clean and the owner was accommodating. I am not sure what happened this time, but I will just provide you with copies of our email exchanges. Here is what I sent to the property owner during the first day of our stay: "We are somewhat surprised as the state the home is in. While I understand that it is a house on the lake, there are quite a few bugs, cobwebs, dead insects in light fixtures that were not previously in our stays. I am not sure if there has been a change in cleaning services you are using to turn over the home, but they are not doing a sufficient job for you. I would appreciate my cleaning fee refunded.I only have limited vacation time left; I will not be checking my messages frequently, but wanted you to be aware of these issues in real time. Thanks"As you can read, I was trying to provide constructive feedback to the property owner. This is her response: "As for your insults to my cleaning staff, they do an amazing job and there can be a spider web spun in 1-2 hours after they clean. And as for bugs, there were no bugs in any window sills when they cleaned because it is inspected. As far as the lights, if some bugs got in a light that is hardly what I would call the house being in a “state”.Since you seem to be so unhappy with my Lakehouses I will let VRBO know that I won’t be renting to you in the future. I have had ZERO unhappy guests and work my ass off to go above and beyond for my guests and for you to be so unhappy with the lengths to which I go on my properties- it is clean there will be no pleasing you.You also have a dog there that was not disclosed, which violates our house rules and you did not pay a pet fee.The cleaning fee is for cleaning up after your visit btw, not if you are not happy with how clean things are and I amconfident you will not find a cleaner property than mine are hands down, 100% confident of that. My properties are scrubbed from top to bottom after each guest and I stock and provide amenities above and beyond, in fact, that property you are so unhappy with is practically booked up until 2023 in the months of May through Sept"(when we booked in Dec. we did note we had a dog, there was no pet fee at the time). Ask yourself, do you want to deal with this type of property owner on your vacation? An owner that is not customer service oriented? Save yourself the headache. Look around at images.

It was very windy so there were waves rolling in from the lake which made it sound like the ocean which was cool. The house had a lot of extra touches which made it comfortable. We stayed four nights and only left once for groceries. It was relaxing.
