About this cottage rental
Maybe not Heaven, but as close as it gets! A beautiful 2 bedroom cottage nestled in the heights of the Ozark Mountains. Very close, if not right in the middle of many trails, 4 wheeling and beautiful destinations, including 5 wineries with-in 30 miles. The cabin is wood throughout, ceramic flooring, island bar, nice front deck with a fire pit and a gorgeous view. If you are site seeing, hiking, 4-wheeling, or just need a nice peaceful and beautiful get away, this is the place! The cottage is located on 40 acres, with National Forest on two sides. You can explore the property on site, access National forest on site, or take a short drive to many beautiful locations. The Historic Oark Cafe, the Burger Barn, Catalpa Cafe, Haw Creek Falls, The Glory Hole, the scenic Pig Trail, Byrds adventure center, Mount Magazine, Petite Jean Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mulberry River, High Bank Twin Falls, Ozark Highland Trails, Hawksbill Crag, Natural Bridge, and many other popular destinations are just a short drive away. We live on the property so anything you may need, we will do our best to accommodate. The cottage if fully stocked with anything you need to prepare meals. Pots, pans, utensils, crockpot, electric skillet, oven, stove top, microwave, array of seasonings and spices, coffee pot with coffee, refrigerator, etc.. There is also a gas grill on the deck. Sit around the island bar and have a nice meal, a drink, or a game of cards. Just a beautiful place to hang out and relax, enjoy nature, get some peace and quiet, hike some trails, or go on an ATV ride. You will truly love this little slice of paradise!!

We loved our experience at the property. It was peaceful and serene. Quiet and a pure escape. We booked and stayed in the middle of this recent snow storm and towards the end of the stay we lost water due to the local city having a pipe and pump issue. The host offered to put us up in a hotel for the remainder of our stay. They were attentive throughout our stay checking on us due to the weather. We loved it and will book again when it is warmer!

My friend and I spent a couple of nights here driving around and visiting the mountain parks in the area. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin and the comfortable beds. As the evenings were mild we chose using the gas fire pit on the deck instead of building a fire. We enjoyed that very much. If there are any drawbacks the cabin was a little smaller than we anticipated. Fine for 2 or 4, but any more would feel crowded. Bedrooms are really small with limited places for clothes and suitcases. Despite that the cabin was clean, slept comfortably and nice deck for hanging out. No problem staying there again

We could not have lived our stay more. The cabin was so cute and comfortable. The view was beautiful. Loved watching the goats. The owners could not have been kinder and more accommodating.

Perfect location to explore the National Forest. We traveled several segments of the OOAT (Ozark Overland Adventure Trail) and saw waterfalls, fantastic views of the river valley below, and wildlife.

We decided to stay in the Ozark national forest for a couple of days on our way to Branson Mo. it was the best part of the whole week location was great and property was amazing. Perfect for four adults and a great location for what we wanted to do! Already planning a return trip.

My husband and I stayed Aug. 4-6th. Beautiful little cabin! We enjoyed the view from the porch. Never saw any bears, but we kept an eye out for them. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Just be careful what your driving, the drive back to it is a little rough for a lower vehicle. The hill coming out was an adventure to climb for my Kia. 😂

We wanted a few days away and some peace and quiet before school starts back and this little cabin was exactly what we needed. The property is beautiful! The cabin was the cleanest VRBO we had ever stayed in and Patrick is a great host. We even saw bears! We can't wait to return!

I will likely rent this cabin again. Plenty of room for 4. Full kitchen for cooking. Large outdoor deck with views of the Ozark Forest. Close to plenty of hiking trails.

We totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back if we’re in the area. It was very quiet and secluded. Especially loved the cool nights by the fire on the deck with a bottle of wine purchased from a nearby winery.

Very nice cabin. I really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Had everything i needed. Bed was comfy. Location was beautiful. It had rained before I arrived and you could hear water running down the hill like a babbling brook. I will be keeping this cabin in mind for future rentals. 5 stars!

My husband, son, and I were looking for somewhere private and laid back for a getaway. This was the perfect place! The cabin was nice and had everything we needed, plus more and had a beautiful view all around. Patrick was the best host with great communication and our son had fun getting to bottle feed Bucky the baby calf! This is definitely a place we want to come back to!

Cabin was very nice and clean and the view from the deck was breathtaking. Spent a long weekend with our friends here. Wife got to feed the baby bull calf and enjoyed seeing the goats and hearing the rooster. Didn’t get to see any bears though. Will be back for sure and would highly recommend anyone staying here.

This property was clean, well maintained and had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The view is beautiful, beds were comfortable, and the deck is perfect for chilling. Well stocked cabin. Hosts are very nice and easy to work with. I can see whey they are a super host. I will definitely go back.

This place is absolutely breathtaking! The host are so friendly, they let us come by and see their beautiful home, the goats are adorable and come right up to the Cottage. Cleanest & most beautiful Cabin I have EVER been to! It was a perfect way to spend our 2 year Wedding Anniversary! Highly recommend!!! ♥️

If you are interested in a very private, assume views, clean cabin with every thing you could need other that food this is the place. It was a bit hard to find on the long road that is rocky and very narrow in areas. But over all it was a romantic location to spend our 29th wedding anniversary. Nice

We had a terrific stay here! This is the cleanest cabin we have ever rented with a beautiful view, wonderful porch, firepit, everything we needed! The owner was easy to work with, we had complete privacy while we were there even though the owner's house is about150 yards away. There is wifi and TV, though we didn't watch much. Aside from a few small restaurants the only thing to do is hike/see nature, which is perfect for us! All in all. This was one of our very favorites! Highly recommend!

We had a blast! If you're looking for a quiet stay in full nature, look no more. We checked out today and the kids can't stop talking about how amazing it was. We feel so lucky to have been able to spend the whole week there.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful. Photos did not do it justice. We got to see bears while there. It was so cool. The owners are great. The communication was perfect and we had zero issues. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful cabin in the woods. Loved our time there. Every day we noticed a new little detail that made us smile. Saw the most beautiful deer. Enjoyed the goats. There are bears in the area of the Lazy Bear. If you are looking to relax this is the place.

The scenery in this area is absolutely beautiful. Cabin is set back from the main road about 3/4 of a mile, so it is secluded & quiet. Although the property owners are on the same property we never really saw them. This cabin is a MUST to rent. It was very clean & had everything you would need. They literally supplied all the extras you would need. They went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Patrick (the owner)came to the cabin one night after we got back from our motorcycle ride & asked if we wanted to see the bears by their house. It was amazing. Besides seeing the bears we also saw a bobcat & deer. It was a great place to stay. Check it out, it won't disappoint you!!
