if you plan trip to Maui and rent a camper van, you MUST have a reservation with either Camp Olowalu or at National Parks (or both) (or you may have an agreement with owner of private property and park the camper van there). Without the permit the camper won’t be released. it is prohibited and illegal to park the campers anywhere else under penalty of $1000 per day!!‼️‼️‼️

The solar system is powerful. 🌺Yet you have to keep in mind that you are not in hotel room and use the power wisely. If you keep your fan on for whole night you most likely end up without power in the morning!!!

With the 136’’ wheelbase this van fits into a normal parking spot and is very easy to maneuver.3 overhead cabinets, Cabinet under bed with space for cassette toilet (optional). The toilet is for “number 1 only” ‼️and no toilet paper goes in it!!!!
Outdoor shower (10gal) to rinse sand off of your feet, beach chairs etc
Any Waste must be disposed before you return vehicle. You are responsible to return the toilet clean ‼️with an empty cartridge. If you failed to do so, we will charge $300.‼️‼️
‼️This vehicle is strictly NON SMOKING of any kind - not even “medical marijuana”), no vaping!!! IF the camper smells like cigarettes or marijuana, we wont return your deposit back.!!!!

Based on our previous experience we dont allow any water gear such as windsurfing gear, kiteboards, foils, surfboards etc. not bikes either.‼️‼️‼️

If you damage/break anything in the camper, we kindly ask you to report the damage right away. We are quite limited here with shipping and it takes weeks/months to get certain stuff here. Please be respectful towards us, our island, our camper and the future customers as well...
‼️You have to show us proof of your insurance - please make sure that your insurance cover campers in hawaii we also require 24 hr road assistance. If you don’t have that contact us ahead of time.

You’ve chosen a Camper Van for your Maui vacation – great choice! However, there are additional insurance requirements that aren’t typical for home share rentals. You MUST have full coverage insurance on your vehicle that meets or exceeds the Hawai`i state minimum. Additionally, you MUST contact your insurance provider and add RV coverage for the duration of your rental and you MUST provide Rent For Less Maui proof of said additional coverage. We have other booking options should additional RV coverage not be available through your insurance company; however, we are unable to honor reservations made through VRBO or Airbnb without the Renter obtaining additional RV coverage through their existing policy. Mahalo for understanding.

‼️we provide contactless pick up and drop off . Your car will be park in front of our office (approx. 4 minutes from the airport), so you’d take taxi or Uber. We will send instructions regarding pick up and key code to your phone number.
‼️Please keep us updated with your flight schedule and let us know your time of arrival! Provide your cell phone number - the one you will travel with- because we are sending detailed instructions how to get to your camper car as well as the code for key box‼️
We apologize for all restrictions and “don’ts” . Unfortunately we had so many bad experiences and our campers were treated with so much disrespect that it didnt leave us any other choice but to be strict . Thank you for understanding!! 🌺

Rudi was very responsive. We loved our experience in Maui and the van allowed us to experience so many opportunities. It was clean and the bed is very comfortable. They provided us with everything we needed to cook and to go to the beach. The only issue we had was that the Dometic fridge didn't work for part of the time but there was an ice chest which worked out fine. We'd definitely rent it again.

I had a really goof time traveking around and exploring parts of the island I hadn't before. It's important to plan early and get your reservations at places to stay but it's not too difficult. What a fun adventure. I would have a few cleaning items included in the back so that cleaning up for the return is a little easier for people. The solar powered ridge was off and on in terms of its functioning. The back-up ice cooler in the back saved my expensive groceries.
Overall I had a fantastic time because I don't expect the world when I am pretend camping. It was very nice and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in this camper van. It was the perfect way to start our Maui adventure exploring the island. So nice to have all our stuff with us wherever we went. And they provided so much great stuff we didn’t even use, like snorkels, fins, and boogie board! Only small thing I would ask for would be the addition of a liquid measuring cup in the kitchen for coffee, etc.

Overall my wife & I enjoyed the experience of renting a camper van. It provided us with some freedom & a bit of novelty. The van was also easy to drive. It had its fair share of stresses, however. One frustration was the constant reminders from the renter to return the van spotlessly clean & not to smoke. I understand the renter's needs here, but the multiple reminders were a bit much given the fact that we still had to pay a "cleaning fee" through Vrbo. To top it off, we found a little garbage in the van after we picked it up. The experience was not cheap either after Vrbo's fees, the renter's fees, (extra) insurance, & the rental price itself--not to mention campsite fees (if you plan on obeying the law & spending the night in the van only at designated campsites). Also, do your research in advance, as finding camp sites is very difficult on Maui. The state & federal parks book up well in advance these days, & private sites can be difficult to find. Some of my frustrations would've been mitigated had communication with the renter been a little easier. Despite it all, would I do this again?...probably. It was an overall good experience. Knowing what I know now, I don't think a second venture would be as stressful.
