Gorgeous villa with loads of outdoor space, close to quaint town of Gerani which has bakery/supermarkets etc and small but lovely beach with a great restaurant attached to it. Villa was cleaned half way through and pool was checked every day, host Maria was so friendly and helpful and replied to questions really quickly.
Nothing we didn’t like but would recommend putting a full length mirror in the house as very few mirrors if sleeping upstairs! Also important to know you need a car if you are staying as there are loads of other beachs and town of Rethymno to visit

So much about the stay exceeded our expectations. Maria was a wonderful host, and even baked us a cake on the first day when we arrived! They cleaned the property twice during our stay, meaning it never felt dirty or untidy. The pool is much better than shown in the listing, with a great shallow area for younger kids. When we left, our kids called the villa "home" and didn't want to leave, which gives you an idea how great it was.
The surrounding area was also quite charming. The beach that is walking distance away is great, and its restaurant even has a playing area for the kids! The town of Gerani at the top of the hill is very cute, with numerous charming restaurants serving Greek cuisine, a little amphitheatre inside one of the restaurants and local folkloric street art. Once we figured out the shortcuts to get to the top of the hill, the climb took only 15 minutes' walk. The locals are so friendly, our kids kept getting invited to try fruits and food, every meal had complimentary extras and the streets are pedestrianised in the evenings.
If you want to go to Rethimno, there is a bus that leaves from nearby the villa, and it is very convenient.
One of the showers for the double bedroom is half-height, so we had to use the shower downstairs instead. It's slightly inconvenient but not really that bad. Otherwise, nothing at all!

Atemberaubende Villa! Es ist alles da was man braucht und das gesamte Anwesen ist liebevoll eingerichtet, gepflegt und angelegt. Die Lage ist auch perfekt für alle die es ein wenig ruhiger und abseits von Touristenorten mögen. Von hier ist trotzdem alles super zu erreichen, 5min zur malerischen Bucht, Tavernen und nur 10min in den kleinen Ort Gerani mit tollen Restaurants, kleinem Supermarkt und einen fantastischen Bäcker sowie tollen Restaurants. Die Gastgeber hier, Maria und Vagelis, sind umwerfend tolle Menschen und kümmern sich sehr um ihre Gäste und die Villa. Ich empfehle jedem hier eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen!
