Comfortable beds and bedding. All very clean. Hot water, shower and heating all worked well. Great to have an additional separate toilet. Kitchen equipment appeared sufficient for a short stay. We didn't actually cook anything during our stay, being so close to lots of great eating places. Lovely shops and cafes all within a short walk. Also very close (5 minute walk) to the sea front/ castle / boat trips etc.
The space outside at the back of the property, although just a narrow alleyway, was ideal to let our dog out during the night, and an unexpected bonus, as this wasn't listed in the details.
There was no soap provided in the main bathroom. All of the mirrors were placed quite high so I could only see my head and shoulders in them. No full length mirrors in the property. The placement of sockets and mirrors made it impossible to use my hairdryer in front of a mirror. Could do with a few more hangers in the wardrobe. That said, these are small things that didn't impact on our stay.
Parking was highlighted as an issue before our stay, so we were prepared to have to park away from the property, however, in practice we always managed to park very close by on the road.

I loved the house, it was very clean, I had everything I needed, the location was excellent, very close to the town centre and the sea front, I slept really well, better than I do at home.

The location was just right for the centre of town.
Communication with host was good.
Decently equipped kitchen and washroom.
Good heating and hot water systems.
Lack of furniture up stairs, chair in the bedroom?
Lack of hooks and shelving in the bathroom.
General ambience upstairs was very stark.
Dreadful musty smell from kitchen cupboards on party wall.
Collapsed shelving in the saucepan cupboard, it wasn't us!!
Uncomfortable dining chairs and lumpy pillows on the bed.
