We loved this place! Could not ask for better ocean views. My cousin and I (both 82) stayed in the one bedroom side. I had the bedroom and she slept on the couch. Not a pull out, but she said was very comfortable. Since we had both been to HI many times, we did not rent a car because we mostly wanted to just chill for 10 days, enjoy the ocean and soak up the ambiance. Used Uber to go into town for groceries, restaurants and shopping..$86 for about 5 times. Uber service good except for evening hours when wait was 20 mins. We must have been the first old people who ever stayed here because the condo has few safety items like bar in shower or motion light in courtyard for nighttime entrance. Those comments aside, would highly recommend, especially for water activities and proximity to Haleiwa. Saw lots of turtles and enjoyed watching surfers, snorkelers, spear fishers, wind boarders, boats galore and especially the dog walkers. Sunrises, sunsets and rainbows glorious!

Everything we were looking for - a quiet spot on the beach. The place itself was great as well, with all sorts of handy touches that made our stay enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Haleiwa Waterfront House. Booking and instructions were very clear and accurate, it was a perfect space for 2 adults to be and felt private, even in a neighborhood, and the private beach access was wonderful for long walks on the beach. The deck was perfect to sit or lay out on as well, and when you looked out the living room window all you can see is ocean! We would definitely come back and stay again, and highly recommend it!

Unfortunately the north shore was flat while we were there in the summer but I’m sure it’s a lovely surf spot in the winter. Close by surf breaks and boards at the property or borrow. Beach front oasis with outdoor shower and updated furnishings. Parking was the only tricky thing as we rented a truck and it’s a tight turn out of the spot.

The house is an absolute gem. Situated right on the beach you can hear the ocean even with the tv on. It’s very well appointed and has a nice mid-century modern vibe to it. ACs work really well in the bedroom as well as the living area. Internet was absolutely solid and the smart tv was great as well. The beach isn’t super swimmable right out front, but a hop skip and a jump down there is a nice non-reefed section to float around in. Just a shorter distance down and there is a very swimmable beach. You are 1mile from either going left, or right, to get to Matsumoto, Banzai Bowls (must try) and a collection of shops and restaurants. The only “knock” would be that the bedroom doesn’t have ocean views, or sound, but the property description doesn’t allude to it having it, it’s would just make this property an 11/10 instead of a 10/10. Do yourself a favor and skip the hustle and bustle of Honolulu/Waikiki and/or further north and stay here. Host is great, neighbors are great and just an all around solid property.

Such a great place right on the beach with an amazing patio. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and dinner as we watched the sunset. The beach which is just steps away was great for walks, snorkeling, and paddle boarding.

The duplex is beautiful, well maintained, and top of the line appliances. The wrap around porch/lanai leads directly to the beach. We started every morning having coffee on the lounge chairs on the lanai watching the ocean and finished every evening on the lanai watching the sunset. We would 100% return. A couple of things that could be improved. One, the beach chairs were rusty and wouldn't stay folded, making them very hard to carry. Honestly, I think they should just be thrown out. Two, the bed frame is for a king-sized mattress, but the mattress is a queen. The frame sticks out and my husband ran into it repeatedly. Third, it would have been lovely to have screen doors on all of the patio doors. However, even with just the back patio door and the bedroom/bathroom windows open, there was always a beautiful breeze, and we only used the air conditioning once during our stay. Also, after we were approved, we were told that we'd need to pay a substantial amount for an additional, insurance policy or leave a substantial cash deposit, to be returned after our trip. This was in addition to the policy included in the listing. The property is gorgeous, and I can understand the owner's desire to ensure it is not damaged, but I feel like that information should be available to potential renters on the Vrbo page and not come as a surprise after you are approved as a renter.
