We had a wonderful stay at Gorska Roža B&B and can highly recommend it!
The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and with a lovely, comfortable climate. It’s also very close to the Italian and Austrian borders, which makes it a perfect base for exploring the area. Our room, as well as the external but private toilet and shower, were spotless and very well maintained.
The hospitality from Matjia was exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and helpful, giving us great restaurant recommendations and always being there when needed. He truly made us feel at home.
Breakfast was excellent, with everything freshly prepared. The eggs, yogurt ball, huge Italian croissant, cold cuts, jam, local honey, and juice were all delicious. We also loved the historic coffee area, around 200 years old, which gives the place a wonderful old-school atmosphere.
A truly special place — we would happily come back!

Super aesthetic and very cosy B&B in an amazing location in the Slovenian mountains. Easy to reach, yet surrounded by nature and only a short drive from Bovec.
The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. One morning we had to leave very early for a canyoning adventure, and he prepared a generous breakfast and lunch package for us so we would not miss out on anything despite leaving before breakfast service.
Everything was exceptionally well taken care of, from the delicious à la carte breakfast to the beautifully renovated rooms. The property is spotless, tastefully decorated, and combines modern comfort with the charm of a traditional mountain house.
You can immediately feel the care and attention that has gone into every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return if we visit the Soča Valley again.
If there is one thing to say, it would be to upgrade the lights in the room. But it's more of a nice to have than a necessity.
