About this house rental
Located in Hunter, this lovely house for $500 per night is a great choice for your next break. No cleaning fees! That's because we clean the house! Come and stay at our cozy yet spacious cabin that is located near all the attractions the Catskill Mountains can offer. Nestled at the base of Hunter Mountain on a dead-end street we are less than a mile away from the Hunter ski resort on a quiet dead-end street. Close to a number of trails, hiking routes, ziplining, golf courses, water tubing, and nearby towns as well! The lake is behind the house, the river is in the front and Hunter Mountain is right next to us. The possibilities are endless for the outdoor adventurer! The cabin is located on a quiet dead-end street. Our home offers: 4 bedrooms, 3 FULL baths, and an open space concept perfect for entertaining family and friends. Enjoy our large wrap-around deck and cook a meal with our Weber BBQ. Soak in our large clawfoot tub for a spalike rest after a long day of hiking! Or cozy up near the fire pit in the evening. to enjoy some s'mores and talks by the fire! Large TV with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Youtube... Free WIFI. Owner-managed and cleaned. We take pride in our house and guests. Contact us with any questions. We'll make sure your stay will be safe and comfortable. We only ask that patrons respect our home as though it were their own. There is a security camera pointing at the driveway. If this is an issue let us know. Pet fees are $20 a day per pet. Come be our guest! The great outdoors are waiting!!!! :)

Mario the owner, was friendly, very accommodating and helpful. His cabin is beautiful immaculate with plenty of room for our family of ten. The kitchen was well stocked with top of the line appliances. The cabin is situated at the base of Hunter Mountain which made skiing and snowboarding convenient. Also the town offered many things to do and the outdoor fire pit was great for getting together, laughing and making s’mores!! Our family excitedly anticipates our yearly ski-cation and our time at the Sasso cabin was wonderful and memorable! We will definitely stay there again

We stayed three nights at this property over the holiday break and it was the perfect rental for our family’s ski trip to Hunter Mountain. The cabin is so close to the mountain which was very convenient for going back and forth with our kids. Mario was an incredible host; so easy to communicate with and available for any questions we had. The cabin was really clean and super cozy, a perfect ski retreat. Couldn’t have found a better place in the Hunter Mountain area.

Mario's home was beautiful. You could really tell he put a lot of time and effort in decorating each detail. The wrap around porch had great views. Mario was also a great host and incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

It was an easy check-in. The house was clean and setup perfectly. Anything you need to cook were in the kitchen.

Mario’s house was perfect for our weekend ski trip at Hunter! Extremely clean, well equipped, great size and layout for families. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking, the fireplace was so cozy and heated the house very well. It was great that the house was dog friendly, they even had extra dog bowls and leashes! Mario was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay, giving restaurant and apres ski recommendations. It truly felt like we were being hosted by friends. I highly recommend Mario’s property!

Hunter Cabin
The place was great for our annual ski trip with one other family. Location was ideal for Hunter Mountain, and Mario could not have been more helpful during our stay! Note that there is no washer/dryer if need to dry clothes after a wet day of skiing, but again, we loved the place and highly recommend.!

You can’t beat the location of this wonderful house if you are skiing at Hunter, just minutes from the slopes. Mario was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. The house is very cozy and feels right at home nestled against the mountain. A great place!

A charming home 1 minute from Hunter Mountain. Spotlessly clean and with a winter cabin theme. Our host decorated for Christmas which made our stay that much more fun. Bathrooms are great, and kitchen well stocked with pans/tools. Great for a family or group of friends.

Great house and next to everything
Our family (two daughters ages 7 and 9) stayed in this house for a week and had a great experience. The house is very conveniently located in the village of Hunter and was equipped with everything that we needed. The host is extremely welcoming and insured that he attended to our needs as best he could. We really enjoyed our vacation and are definitely coming back!

As for the house…this is one of the best rentals we have stayed in. The house was immaculate. The kitchen is well set up and stocked with quality appliances, pots, pans and utensils. The water pressure to sinks and showers was amazing. The fire pit was awesome. The decor in the house was welcoming and aesthetically relaxing. Beds were all very comfortable and easily accommodated myself and four adult friends. The wrap around porch was nice too. A short walk to great swimming and fishing creek with other awesome lakes, ponds and hikes only 15-20 minutes drive away. Good breakfast place (Fellows Cafe) short walk from house. This house was absolutely perfect for our fishing trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Mario and family for a great stay and congratulations on Italy winning the Euro cup.

I can't express this enough, Mario was amazing. He was extremely communicative throughout the entire stay, from locating a bottle of champagne he so kindly brought for us to helping me turn the water off at the end of the stay. He went far above and beyond.
The house was spectacular and about a 3 minute drive to Hunter Mountain. Restaurants were easily accessible by walking. The house was incredibly clean, I didn't want to touch anything. When we come back we will definitely be staying here again! Ciao!

Wonderful short stay for skiing extravaganza!

Mountain home
The house is lovely, hugging the beautiful Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. Nice gathering home for the family, with a wrap around wooden deck safe for little ones and a nice yard space for campfires. The interior of the house is charming and user friendly. The owner is very welcoming, responsive and eager to make your stay comfortable.

Modern House in Hunter
This is a lovely 2 floor house in Hunter, NY, about 2 hours outside of the city. Mario was a very friendly and welcoming host. He generously let us check in and out at any time, and regularly made sure we had everything we needed. It was tidy and as pictured/described.
The first floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (one shower, one tub), kitchen and living room. The second floor is a lofted bedroom (no door) and an ensuite bathroom with shower and 2 sinks.
The bedrooms vary in size with the lofted second floor as the largest. This room doesn't have a door, so I would recommend ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The main bedroom on the first floor has ample windows and a charming fireplace. Be sure to bring an eye mask if you're sensitive to light. The two other bedrooms are small, one with a full sized bed, the other with bunk beds. I would say it could fit one large family or a group of friends comfortably.
The bathrooms look brand new, with modern finishes and a clawfoot tub in one of them. It was a nice luxury to have so many bathrooms for the size of the house.
The kitchen has a large island and new appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. The oven is great--solid burners. Kitchen utensils are the basics, with pots, pans, etc. There is a toaster oven, but not other small appliances (blender, etc.).
The living room and dining room are adjacent to the kitchen, and include another fireplace. The dining can fit up to 6, and worked fine for board games. The couch has a chaise, but I'd say max 3 people. There is a 42" TV with Roku. The wifi worked fine for our devices, but we could not connect the Roku to the wifi. The common space is fine for a group of 4-6, but somewhat smaller than other rentals I've used. There is air conditioning upstairs, but not in the main area, so it can get warm depending on the breeze.
The outdoor space featured a very large wrap around deck, and a fire pit in the backyard. The property is very close to several other houses and the road, something to keep in mind if you have pets (the house is pet friendly).
We went in the summer, so can't comment on the skiing. The house is a 10 minute drive from the grocery store. You can walk to the lake (private) and stream (public).
