We could not have loved this home more — with 7 adults and 3 toddlers, we all had our own space inside while nestled in an idyllic park-like environment. Kitchen had everything we needed for many family-style meals around the huge eat-in kitchen table. Communication with the owner and on-site caretaker was a breeze both before and during the trip, and they made sure travel cribs were available for the kids so we could travel without. Can’t recommend this home enough!

The house is just as it looks in the pics. You can tell from the minute you walk in that there have been a lot of fun times had here. The location is amazing and the view from almost every room is spectacular. We had several fires out on the point as the sun set over Somes Sound, which I will never forget. The owners were easy to work with and the property manager was great. We did use Chef Greg one night, which I'd highly recommend. Having said all this, there are some rustic elements. This house is a grand old dame, but she's probably due for a facelift, particularly when it comes to the bathrooms. Don't hesitate to book this place. We are a family of 8 that created some priceless memories here that we will never forget. Thanks to the Hargraves family for sharing this treasure with us.

Quiet, conveniently located for visiting Acadia Natl Park and Bar Harbor. Plenty of room to spread-out for family and friends. Cabin is very well stocked with kitchen utensils for preparing meals. A variety of birds visited the area while we relaxed on the spacious deck. Management was very responsive when we had questions. We have stayed in many VRBOs and would stay here again.

Another fantastic week at Small Cove Point in the books. This is an iconic MDE property that is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, and generally touring Acadia NP. We also enjoyed using the available kayaks and SUPs to explore Somes Sound. Though close to everything, the size of the property creates a wonderfully isolated feel. Our group loved preparing meals in the very well equipped family kitchen and of course having a cocktail watching the sunset on the spacious deck. of note: guests at SCP are treated to "lots" of everything, towels, pillows, cozy comforters, puzzles, deck chairs, wood for the fire to name a few Thank you, again for sharing your beautiful property.

Wonderful vacation spot for a large family reunion. Everyone had enough space in this beautiful home on the Somes Sound. Gorgeous sunsets every night, plenty to do at our fingertips and perfect if we didn't want to anything. Did not disappoint! Looking forward to going back soon.

Small Cove Point is a truly special place. The house is warm and comfortable--like returning to a family retreat (except not our family, but we were grateful to borrow the experience for a while!) The view from the deck or out the picture windows is stunning. The beach was perfect for our little people to dig and wade and explore. We launched kayaks with ease. We ate at Abel's (more than once) and appreciated easy access to the quieter towns on MDI, while still being close to Bar Harbor when we needed groceries or wanted to go there for some other reason. We hiked into Acadia across the road. The split bedrooms allowed our two families quiet and privacy--particular great to have a quiet room down the hall for our littlest to nap without worrying about our elementary kids' shenanigans. The kitchen had everything we needed. The caretaker greeted us, showed us around, and then left us to ourselves. He seemed like such a nice guy and we appreciated knowing he was there if we needed a hand with something. Our only sadness is not being able to book next year! Recommend highly--we'd love to return sometime.

The deck and view are the best, and the house is close behind. Good layout for families and the owners and caretaker make you feel super welcome. Took advantage of the Chef, Greg, and it was well worth it. Secluded location and so quiet, but easy access to everything, the best of both worlds.
