This is a nice, lakefront property, exactly as described in the profile. It does require climbing a number of stairs to get both to the main property and then down to the lake. But there’s plenty of space on the main floor, and three comfortable bedrooms on the lower floor.

We chose this because Glen Lake is just south of Lake George and north of Saratoga Springs, two of our destinations. The house is waterfront to the lake so you can enjoy that during your stay. Look at the pictures before you book, it is not modern and has a lot of steps to get inside and from the back yard to the water, so suggest no younger kids or adults that arent able to walk well, but this suited us perfectly.

Place was nice, comfortable and clean. My only complaint is the ad stated Canoe/Kayak which make people assume there is a canoe and kayak there. I didn't bring mine because the ad stated this. When I asked, the owner just kept giving me places to rent them on Lake George and told me his canoe was damaged... I didnt want to drive to Lake George. THey should change their ad. Misleading... Otherwise the place was fine, nothing fancy and stairs were tough but we knew this and didn't affect us any.. The lighting could be improved as well.

Amazing view. It is a lake summer cabin. If you are looking for the Ritz, this will not be your cup of tea. Having lived on this lake every summer since I was a kid, it was just what I expected. Really enjoyed the place.

We recently spent 7 days here for our family vacation. It was exactly as shown in the pictures and description. When you enter and walk through the spacious, open living room/dining room, you are greeted with a stunning view of Glen Lake. The view of which my son said (while sitting on the dock drinking his coffee one morning), "If I woke up to this view every morning, I would jump out of bed!". The kitchen, dining room, living room and 1/2 bath are all on the main level. The kitchen had all the amenities/appliances of an efficiency (full size fridge, microwave, stove, oven, toaster and coffee maker, utensils) all of which were clean and in working order. The bedrooms and full bath were all on the lower level which would be an issue for those with mobility issues. Speaking of mobility issues, the steps leading to the house itself and the steps to the dock would be difficult to traverse if you have mobility issues. The 3 bedrooms (1 king and 2 with bunk beds and a trundle bed) also have lovely views of the lake. The rooms were clean with plenty of closet and dresser space. Some towels and blankets were provided but it wouldn't hurt to bring your own. In summary, we would highly recommend this as a quiet getaway spot. Clean, spectacular views and very relaxing. You are also literally minutes away from shopping, and attractions. Our experience with Evolve was seamless and as a host, Frank was very reliable and responsive

This quiet shabby two story lake front camp on Glen Lake is quite eclectic, a composition of construction materials, paint and summer camp furniture. From the driveway at the end of the road it is an eighteen step drop down to the main floor outside patio with BBQ grill. Enter the premises and be greeted with a high lake view. No bad camp odor. Everything for a couple day stay seemed to be there in the open kitchen, dining and living room area on this level. Half bath is also on this floor. It needs a remodel on the wall paper. The two balconies on lake side are narrow and a couple of boards were loose. Not sure if railings are up to code. If you have small children never leave them unsupervised on the balconies. Be aware that there is a TV but there is no cable. You get three stations: StarTV, ME and I don't know. If you like The Closer, The Flintstones, Andy Griffith, Mash and Leave it to Beaver you're all set. The kitchen has most supplies but I would encourage you to bring your basics: dish soap, paper towels, your fresh choice of spices and sponge. It was adequately clean. I couldn't get the microwave to work. Fortunately it wasn't too cold this mid September week. We didn't need to turn on heat, except for the downstairs bathroom. The lighting in bath is minimal and the shower dark. All bedrooms are located on the downstairs floor. Blankets were a minimum but all seemed to be clean. Towels are provided, but no wash clothes. The hallway and stairs down are dark. No light on the stairway. I left a light on upstairs to provide some night lighting for 12 stairs down. The smoke detector downstairs needed a new battery. I don't think the master bedroom had a heater. From the main living floor it is 44 stairs to the dock. So if you can't negotiate steps this is not the place for you. The hand rail is wobbly and in need of a new rail to avoid splinters. Be careful The lake is quiet in September. It was a nice place to watch sun rise, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the peace while the fish swam by. I brought my canoe and kayak. Perfect. As a quiet getaway from news, covid and politics this place provided the simple solution. I only live 20 miles away and I felt like I was in a faraway pleasant world.
