I love Hostelling it makes it an affordable way to travel as a solo. Finding a nice clean safe hostel in Paris, can be challenging. This location I had stayed at previously, it is short walk from the metro. The windows fully open onto a nature man made park, the beds were comfortable. There is an outdoor courtyard too. Good to see if being well used by some groups too. Some cool little bars and places nearby so feels like an up and coming neighbourhood.
The area can feel sketchy at times with lots of rough sleepers, but I think that is Paris.. Some seem to sleep close to the hostel. The staff were not overly engaging or friendly, but I also understand the frustrations of speaking English (to non French speakers). It is popular with school / college larger stays - which is positive and negative.

Not far away from Gare du Nord, but at the same time, in a calm and safe place. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped

The building is really nice, with great bars outside.
There were a few insects in the room and bathroom, and in our room there was the sink and the shower but no toilet, so it was bit uncomfortable to go out just for the toilet.
