It was easy getting this place at the last minute ...but I called Vrbo several times trying to get directions and a key to get inside ...several calls by Vrbo finally I got a text with information...we thought it was a cabin when it looks like a small mobile home , it was really clean and it was nicely decorated with bears...we got there the 19th and on the 20th walking to our car I tripped and fell ... the pain was the worst pain I've ever felt and late Monday night I couldn't handle the pain and went to the ER ...my left foot was so swollen , it was turning yellowish, a bit greenish, and purple ...the Dr said it wasn't broke that I had torn ligaments and I needed to see my Dr after we went home ...as of today I haven't gone to my Dr but I am getting a appointment to see a orthopedic Dr .. I've kept it elevated, and used heat and ice ...The swelling is going down but the pain is really bad , I've not gone anywhere, I'm trying to give it time to get better ...we aren't putting a Christmas tree up or decorating, we aren't having family or friends over for Christmas and we aren't cooking ...back to our stay ...I looked to see what tripped me and I took pictures, there is a rock and it looks like a root , they were just poking out of the ground... I have spoke to Vebo about trying to get the owner to text or call me ... they just don't respond ...I sent a text asking if I could get part of my money for the cabin back and the medical bill ...The owner will not respond to my attempts to speak to them ...we have a nephew that's a attorney , if I haven't heard from them by Christmas I will get a attorney ...the road to the cabin was awful , it was a dirt road with potholes , it was hard to get over the holes so we had to back up and get

It is almost impossible to get a hot shower in the trailer.

My husband and I enjoyed the small cabin. It was very clean & comfortable. The surrounding were beautiful with the fall leave colors & view. The cabin was easy to access along with a short drive to obtain food & entertainment. My husband doesn't like crowds so this was perfect for us.

Everything was great during our stay and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions. It was clean, though a few appliances looked a bit unsecure (living room TV) so we were afraid to touch, least it break or fall from the wall. There were a few "imperfections" throughout the cabin, but nothing that would prevent us from staying (a blind missing a few side slats, a dresser drawer that needed a little repair) but still, the kitchen and bed were quaint and the bathroom clean. The were back up items and everything worked in the kitchen. I LOVED the gas stove. There were signs everywhere to make sure you didn't do anything to damage the property, but I appreciate that forthright approach to visitors. The packet that is emailed is full of all the info you need. The packet also gives as detailed instructions for the way up (and highly recommends a vehicle with 4wd,) but even this is very difficult to follow, as one of the roads is marked "private drive do not enter" and another area is the road is completely overgrown with natural grass and the gravel is no longer visible. We have stayed in other cabins and have never been on such a risky road to get to the cabin. The packet that recommends 4-wheel drive should not be taken as a rec but an absolutely necessity to get to the cabin, so DO NOT ATTEMPT getting there unless you are REALLY good at driving a vehicle over treacherous "roads." We had a rear wheel drive pickup, and only bc my husband has a lot of experience driving roads such as this for work, did we make it up and down. We loved the privacy of the cabin, but would not even consider attempting to come down the mountain if it meant we would have to find our way up in the dark. I would say that was the only setback to this lovely little cabin, though it has deterred us enough from returning to that property in the future. I cannot even imagine driving it in less than perfect conditions from any form of precipitation.
