Frau Eder was a very welcoming host and made us great breakfasts every day. The room, though small, was well equipped and had a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. When we first arrived in Klais, we were a little taken aback at how small the village is, but it turned out to be at the center of a network of paths and trails, so is great for hiking and we went swimming in several of the nearby lakes. There is also a small bistro next to the station that is open every day except Wednesday. Make sure that you get the Alpenwelt guest card which gives you free travel on the local buses and trains, and some discounts to local attractions including a free ride on one of the chairlifts. Garmisch and Mittenwald are short bus/train rides away, and it's not too difficult to travel further afield to Oberammergau and Linderhof Palace.
There was no where to get an evening meal in the village itself, though this didn't really cause a problem because there were buses returning from Mittenwald all evening.

Wir haben 8 wunderschöne Nächte im Gästehaus Alfred verbracht und uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist wunderschön, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe gepflegt. 🌸🏡
Frau Maria ist eine sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeberin. Besonders begeistert waren wir von den köstlichen und liebevoll zubereiteten Frühstücken. ☕🥐
Die wunderschöne Umgebung und die herzliche Atmosphäre haben unseren Urlaub in Klais unvergesslich gemacht. Vielen Dank, liebe Frau Maria! ❤️ Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Supernette Gastgeberin, ganz toll gelegen .
Sehr viele interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe.
Perfekt ist der ca 100 Meter entfernte Bahnhof für Touren nach München oder Innsbruck.
Wir hatten die Ferienwohnung, alles Klasse, aber Achtung Kaltwasser ist auf heiß, Warmwasser auf kalt 🫣

Velmi mila a ochotna pani domaca. Vysvetlila, poradila, pomohla. Vinikaj[ce raňajky. Moznost odlozenia bicyklov. Perfektne miesto na cyklistiku aj turistiku. Po registracii sme dostali GuestCard s ktorou bola autobusova aj vlakova doprava v regione zdarma.
