The location next to the beautiful beach. The quality and diversity of the breakfast offerings. The room cleaning was excellent. Nearness to local tavernas. Helpful reception folk. Closeness to Heraklion.
The 3 pools were always colonised very early in the day by an army of very early arrivals staking residential claims by planting their blue towels on their sun beds every morning.

very nice staff. service was excellent.
the hotel is old and some fixes are required. there is humidity everywhere due to licking water. walls are wet and therefore there is an unpleasant smell in the rooms and hallways.
unfortunately the food is average at best , although plenty of choice.
too expensive for what it offers and not really a 5 star hotel
