We had a wonderful sojourn at Sandrine’s property in the Vezere. Sandrine was an excellent host, with smooth communication throughout. The property itself is as beautiful as the descriptions with views out across the hillsides, while the pool feels both very private and open to the countryside. We cooked most meals at the house with all the utensils , pots and pans we needed in the kitchen , though Sandrine’s provided some excellent dining-out recommendations as well. The beds were very comfortable, and bedrooms were spacious. Temperatures were in the mid-30s and the house was comfortable with the windows open at night. Our cautions to fellow travelers would be (1) the bedrooms are upstairs on a steep spiral staircase that may be challenging with heavy suitcases or limited mobility, (2) the location is wonderfully in the countryside on rural roads that guests should be comfortable driving, and (3) countryside insects may be around when you open the windows. If you aren’t bothered by these, this house is a wonderful location to enjoy life in the Dordogne and visit the close by attractions.

A charming and tastefully designed house, perfectly located in an inspiring setting.The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, as cooking enthusiasts, we didn’t miss a thing. Combined with the region’s wonderful local ingredients, it created a truly perfect culinary experience.The house was spotless and immaculate. We spent a wonderful 10 days here as a family and enjoyed every minute. The house is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. The air-conditioned rooms were very welcome during the hot weather, and the pool was a perfect spot to cool down. The internet connection is also very good which made working remotely very easy for me too. Sandrine was a perfect host, and even invited us to join her family and friends at a summer party she hosted in the field adjacent to the house. The location provides easy access to many local towns and sights of the Dordogne region and we enjoyed canoeing, visiting caves and wandering around local towns. We would definitely stay again - thank you Sandrine!
