We had my bachelorette party at this property and it was PERFECT. The views and location are unbeatable and the hot tub, pool, and easy water access provided endless hours of fun. We also appreciated the multitude of beds and cots available as well as the plentiful sheets, towels, and bedding. The communication was effortless and easy and the team was very responsive to our needs. They even opened the pool earlier than their typical schedule. NOTE: if you're renting this in the spring or fall, check their pool schedule. We didn't realize they didn't usually open the pool until the following week. Thank you for an awesome weekend!

We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend - the house is beautiful, clean, and spacious! The views are spectacular. We loved the beach; we enjoyed watching the annual lighting of the Christmas tree on Main Street; and enjoyed visiting the Wallops Island Visitor Center.

This was our first time renting for two weeks in a row and it was just an amazing time. The upgrades made to the house since last year are so nice (new septic, refinished pool bathroom) and addressed many of our previous concerns. We cannot wait until next year!

The kitchen and living room are great areas for entertaining and I don't think we were in want of any standard utensils or cookware.

We very much enjoyed our vacation. Having the pool was great! The house could have been cleaned a little better. There are a few repairs that are needed but overall the house was nice.

We enjoyed the space, many beds, windows nice size kitchen, large family area and hot tub. With all the beds it would have been nice to have one more full bathroom upstairs but we made it work. It was quiet and very enjoyable. We did have an ant problem but other than that the house and location was nice for our ladies weekend.

The house is beautiful and has lovely surroundings. Made with an open floor plan, the natural light and the long windows give an open feel and offers very picturesque views!
The internet was great, strong enough causing no drops in connectivity.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. We wouldn’t change our visit for anything, despite the things I mentioned below! The rental company was extremely responsive!
I have separately pointed out to the rental Company to fix little things, like, kitchen tap, shower heads, coffee maker, refrigerator crisper drawer, brass table in the living room, the upstairs room (above kitchen) mattress is broken from the middle etc.

Great house but needs some love
The house itself was awesome and accommodated our party of 14 comfortably. However, it was very obvious throughout the home that it has not been well taken care of by the owner. Paint is chipping everywhere and the bathtub leaks a lot during use. The location is gorgeous and made it worth while, but the quality of the home should match the price being charged. Regardless, we had a great time during our winter stay and really enjoyed the hot tub.

Amazing stay for a Sweet 16
I took my daugther, her 5 friends, and my sister-in-law on this girl's trip. The open very large kitchen and living room was amazing to gather and hang out. We could have easily fit 10 more people. The place is huge! We loved the windows and the view of the water. It was idyllic. It is probably even better when you can use the pool and outside area. I expected it to be cool or drafty with the high ceilings, but it was not in the least. I would recommend for large groups.

October 2021 Stay
Generally the house was nice. The pool and hot tub were a definite plus with the kids. That being said, there are some maintenance issues; particularly with the plumbing and sewage. Standing grey water around septic tank was not good. Happens when everyone showers after the beach and laundry is run. Also, shelves are not secured to walls in kitchen and bath (basically, just mounted on the drywall). Curtains in a few strategic areas (upstairs bathroom) would be great. Finally, the beds were low quality foam variety.
Good overall and if septic and some minor fixes are addressed (including the peeling paint), this place would be great.

Relaxing weeklong getaway
I booked this place for me and a handful of my friends and family to round out our summer. We had a great time at the house. Having the bay, hot tub, and the pool within footsteps of each other was a blessing. We took the short drive to the beach a few days and had an amazing time eating and drinking in town. This is easily the nicest house in the area and certainly lives up to the photos and reviews. Everything was amazing except for the things out of our control, like the mosquitos and flies. Make sure you bring bug spray and fly traps when you come, you'll need it.
Overall I would rent this house again in the future. We had such a memorable time.

We had an amazing time at this rental. The location is perfect. The cleaning team was very professional and thorough. We had a few minor issues with the rental during the week, and the property management team was incredibly responsive, quickly and professionally resolving all of our concerns. There are a few minor areas where the house is in need of repair...peeling paint and plaster around showers, pool with cracking tile and cement chunks missing at the border, but nothing that kept us from enjoying the property overall. Can't wait to stay here again.

Ok. The home is very lovely. Well described and photographed. There are a lot of steps to get into the house (which is hard to tell from the pictures) This is more of an adult house and not the greatest for small children. Although our children loved the house and had a great time. I thought it was important to mention that the pool has no shallow end - its 6 feet to 8 feet. And there are only two awkaward steps to get into the pool. The pool is very narrow, making it a little challenging with kids jumping in. There are also a ton of flies (obviously not a rental problem - but plan to bring some fly traps!!) The rental company was helpful, but with a 4;00 check in and them closed on Sunday, things could have been tricky.

Pretty architecture, great pool and hot tub
Easy check in and out. House was large and had pretty views. Town 5-10 min drive and beach (national park) was a 15 minute drive. We were only there 2 nights but enjoyed ourselves !

We totally enjoyed our stay. Everything was just terrific. The only thing that was a concern was the hot water could not keep up with ALL of us. (14 people) and the septic was backed up in the side yard, which was not pleasant. Over all, we LOVED THE PLACE and would love to come back.

Has potential but won’t return
This house is beautiful and can be a great rental spot, but we had several issues. Before booking, we asked if the maintenance issues stated in the comments had been resolved & were assured that they were - but upon arrival, not one of the issues had been fixed (master bed, sliding door, plumbing/septic). The pipes gurgling was one thing, but the pool of water/waste in the driveway was disturbing, and I’m sure worse in the warmer weather. If we had been able to grill, this smell would have really bothered us - but there were 2 empty propane tanks so we weren’t able to use the grill. This was a big disappointment, as we weren’t going to restaurants (Covid) so we brought food to cook each night. Steaks in the oven just aren’t the same. We called with several requests for maintenance, including this, but were never brought gas. Remnants from the guests before us were there our whole stay: all of the used linens were thrown into the hot water heater room/hallway, and the trash outside was never taken to the street, so it was overflowing when we arrived. When maintenance came to fix the master shower (not working when we arrived), they took the trash, so that was good.
This house is beautiful, has amazing views for sunsets and of the water during the day, but they could put a little more love into getting it ready for guests; especially with the late check-in and early check-out times, they should have plenty of time to check the place before new renters arrive.

This house was amazing! Lots of room to have private relaxation even though the house could fit an army. Close to the nature reserve but with enough amenities that we had just as much fun on rainy days.

November 2020 Stay
We had a nice stay at the home. We were disappointed to find that the sliding glass door to the patio was broken and that the kitchen has only plastic dishes (nothing is microwave safe, not even coffee mugs). While the living area is great, it could use a more detailed cleaining (cob webs with love spiders outside of second floor bathroom, smashed mosquitoes on the kitchen walls, hot tub was foamy and sandy, deck full of debris).

Amazing Views of the Eastern Shore
Obtaining the rental was pretty simple and the property views were AMAZING. Checking into the property difficult due to having to pick up keys (digital locks would be a help) and gaining entry into a pitch black house. There were no lights left on in or outside of the property. The master bedroom king bed slats were not installed approximately so we had to call for repairs. Also the plumbing girggled and sewage odor was noticeable when sitting outside on the deck. It has been three weeks and our deposit has not been released back to my credit card.
I am an Eastern Shore native and have never experienced views that I enjoyed at Deep Hole! I was able to see the sunrise and the moon set at the same time. My family enjoyed the space inside and plan to return in the warmer months to enjoy the pool and crabbing from the waters edge.
Hopefully repairs will be done before we return in the spring.

October 2020 Stay The Smaw family
Our weekend at Sunrise Shore was a very peaceful one. We truly enjoyed the views. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to return. The property itself needs a few repairs like (inoperable sliding glass door and the odor with girggling septic system) and the securing of the bed in the master. Hopefully we'll get to enjoy the pool in the spring.

The home is beautiful and area is quiet. Just what we wanted. But, there was several problems during stay 1) glass door leading to pool broken and sealed with duct tape. 2) sewage leaking due to overflow of septic tank. 3) ok housekeeping longer than expected to have home prepared. 4) pool and jacuzzi dirty and had callings from tree in it. 5) lights in upstairs bathroom not working. That’s just to name a few and issues with exception to door was resolved ASAP.
